Good poll, but after Elliott beats Morgan and goes to 2-2 against the top three, maybe next week we will see them move ahead of Russell who struggled with a week Lewis County team this week.

Russell has a game tomorrow vs Rowan who handled Elliott with ease. Elliott, as Cubster has always stated, is the region's Dow Jones team.

Morgan beat Boyd, so how can you justify Boyd over Morgan? It will be like this the rest of the year now that everyone has gotten into regional play.

If you wanna look at that way then Elliott beat Morgan so how can you rank them above Elliott.

That was my whole point but I guess you missed it. Everyone is going to beat up on each other so you can't base someone's position in a poll on one game. You must look at the entire season as a whole.

Iwould not consider 17-4 very dow jones! Seems to have a very upward trend to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the way I think it should be:

 

1. Morgan-Lost, but still the best team.

2. Boyd-Few personal problems against Ashland, but still the next best team.

3. Fairview-Will have the oppurtunity to move up if they can beat Boyd in the Districts.

4. Russell-Quietly improving week to week

5. Ashland-They are making a late charge and very well could be #4 now, and possibly higher at end of season.

6. Elliott-Young and very talented. Inconsistent though. They have great record, but weak schedule. Very good win over Morgan.

7. Rowan-Vikings are coming along nicely

8. Greenup-Havent had that big win yet, but could get one in the Districts.

9. West-Could be a dangerous team.

10. Raceland-Rams are kinda in Neutral.

11. East-Raiders are normally a good postseason team.

12. Rose Hill - Getting better by the day.

13. Menifee-Definetly not a pushover.

14. Fleming County - Have had some tough losses.

15. Lewis-Battling hard but tough year for the Lions

16. Bath-

Sounds very inconsistent to me......I will tell you one thing, I have seen most of these boys play ball since Elementary league and I am very excited to see these boys in a couple of years. I will be proud to support the 16th Region and be a Elliot Co fan at Rupp. :thumb: But then again, Rose Hill might have a say-so in that.

Elliott's schedule is not all that weak. Morgan on the road, Boyd at home Fairview on the road and at a neutral site. West Carter is not a slouch this year and Elliott beat them on the road and at a neutral site. They also beat Greenup in the Raceland touornament. The Bath County loss was ridiculous, but 17-4 aint bad against a schedule that is similiar to most teams in their District.

If Boyd, Morgan, Russell and Ashland all played that schedule, they would only have 3 or 4 losses too....Those teams play top talent out of area, and Elliott's schedule is strictly 15th or 16th Region teams. Should I remind you possibly the weakest 2 regions in the state. I am not taking anything away from Elliott, for their age they are super talented, but dont even try to compare their schedules to the top 3 or 4 teams in the Region.
