Let's see so far Brossart is 12-3 which is the best record in the 10th and would be top 3 in 9th Region. We beat the team, Owen Co., with the best record in the 8th. We beat Number 5 ranked Manual, beat Ryle, beat Mason County. Finished 4-0 in Distirct beating Campbell Co. by 15, Scott by 25, Calvary by 41 and Silver Grove by 66. Brossart is undefeated (6-0) in Region, undefeated (4-0) in District and earned top seed. They finished 3-1 in a tough Christmas Tourney losing only to the number 2 ranked team in the state Anderson County. They have scored 866 points while allowing just 623 while playing probably the best schedule of any tenth region team. Coach Feldmann is now 56-21. As Joe Friday used to say on Dragnet "Just the facts, just the facts."

 

Sorry to the rest of the Brossart folks, because I really like just about all of you!

 

To BGH...OR we can look at it like this. Success against who???? Calvary? Silver Grove? Harrison Co? Camp Co? Lloyd? Beechwood? Scott? Ryle? Mason Co? Owen? Really? Those are the teams you're hanging your hat on? Really? You really know how to "spin" things! Owen may have the best record in the 8th region, but they also lost to their friends in the region by 19...yes, Walton beat them by 19! Before you start throwing your "facts" out, you should probably do a little homework. Like...who has Owen played? I'll help you out...no one! I'll give them credit, it's a little tougher schedule than Brossart. I will give you credit, you have Calvary (again), Newport, St Henry and Pendelton coming up! Please boast when you beat someone even decent. NCC handled you with ease and HHS dominated you if it weren't for some late desparation 3's falling (I will give it to the girls and coaches, they play their tales off to the end). It was actually a boring game for 3.5 quarters. Of course you weren't there...because you were probably anticipating a loss and it makes it easier to swollow if you act like it just didn't happen. So please let us jealous folk understand why in the world we have a reason to be jealous. We beat you and would do it again in any rematch.

 

All the "facts" don't matter when you have played the teams you played so far. They call all those games "stat stuffers". Anyone decent has beat you, period!

I could have that record if I had that much talent too! BUT..... I will give them credit beating some good teams in the Xmas tourny they were in but looking at there schedule out of the 15 games theyve played 8 of them have winning records and you mentioned Ryle as a big win and there only 7-6???? They do have some good wins but look at the losses to NCC and Highlands. Brossart was down BIG during those games and the final score doesnt tell how the game was at all! If Brossart can start beating these teams consistently then you can brag all you want but beating up on average teams is no reason to start getting excited. Brossart with all this talent should be winning alot of games, they should be going to the ALL A tourny and they should win some games BUT lets see if they can get past the big teams down there at state or Montgomery Co when it matters. Brossart is a good team but quit acting like there one of the top teams in the state. Ohhh and by the way check the standings BGH.... your saying Owen Co has the best record in the 8th region???? They have the 4th best record in the 8th behind Anderson Co, Simon Kenton, Gallatin Co.. Ohhhh and by the way, go check Montgomery Co. schedule. You made the comment "probably playing the best schedule in the 10th region". Try again, theyve played more teams with winning records than Brossart. So before you come on here acting like Brossart is the best team in the state know the facts and history of what is going on and what are the facts!

Bishop Brossart has played 4 ranked in the top 20. The average rating for the teams on their schedule (excluding Silver Grove) is 62.

Montgomery has played 4 teams ranked in the top 20. The average rating for their schedule is 68.7.

GRC has played 4 teams ranked in the top 20. The average rating for their schedule is 65.6.

Campbell has played 4 teams ranked in the top 20. The average rating for their schedule (excluding Silver Grove) is 69.3.

I just wish when people come on here and they wanna say things they need to have there facts straight and not come on here with stats that are not true. Now hopefully this clarifies why the BGH gets puts out to pasture all the time! Just go back to the stables and think it through. :irked:

They had a BAD game plan against NCC and did not play well at HHS, beat Manual (top 10 teamin the state and I don't want to hear they were missing players) they lost to the #2 team in the State Anderson County (which was a 3 point game with 15 seconds left and they shoot 4 free throws after fouls and lost by 7). They also beat Ryle, Owen County (to win silver bracket in Frankfort), Scott, Mason County, and arch rival Campbell County by 15 while holding Taylor Robinson (Who is a great player but not 100%) to 7 points. They also have other wins they should have against schools their size that everyone has beat. Please give credit where credit is due and wait and see what happens over the next few weeks. They will not sneak up on anyone now because they are GOOD and most Basketball people know that but the "regular" fan does not know good when they see it. I expect good thinks in the all "A" from them and hope to see a rematch with NCC in the semi-finals if NCC can get by Holy Cross and Brossart gets there as well. Time will tell how good everyone is and in the end the girls will all be better for the journey. Defense and talent will take them far as long as the coaching makes adjustment as needed and the injury bug does not jump up to bite them. I can't wait to watch:popcorn:

I don't think anyone disagrees that Brossart is good. But the exaggerated arrogance from certain people doesn't sit well with some. It's kinda like when you tell a team to "act like you've been there before". There are several good teams in this area, yet we don't see them spewing out how awesome they are. It's okay to be excited about your program, but not at the expense of the other programs. Go back and read some of his posts as if you were the other team. Especially Silver Grove that played 6th and 7th graders against the mighty Mustangs. And when you make up or spin facts to make you look good, you're going to get called out on here every time.

 

Two things...the folks that are posting on this thread are not "regular" fans. AND I'll make a note not to tell you that Manual was missing 3 starters when you played them. Kinda funny that Anderson beat them by 36 the same day. You really trying to tell me nothing was wrong with Manual.

 

Again, I didn't say Brossart wasn't good. I have a lot of reasons to really like and root for them. I do think they are good. But don't tell us how great they are until they do something great. Those teams the original poster and you stated are very average to a little above average, outside of the ones you lost to. Brossart definitely has the chance to do some good things, when they do come on and brag about them and I will be extremely happy for you and the program. I will even tolerate the post from the big guy!

I agree totally! Brossart is a good team but until you can win the big one (when it counts) dont brag about them. They do have some good wins this year but dont talk about some of there wins against so called good teams when some of those teams arent playing no one and it makes there record look good. If Brossart would meet NCC in the ALL A again this year and get past them then that would be a huge win, If they can get past Montgomery Co in the 10th region then that would be huge but until they can start doing that then I guess the "regular" fans can say what they want!

Why gloat and put a bull's eye on your back? I am sure the only facts that anyone really looks for are championships. Brossart just needs to continue to focus on winning district, regional, and "A" championships. District wins are great for seeding purposes. But really, the other games are all about getting better and setting up your post-season runs, win or loss.

Brossart is a Top 20 Team this year. They have basically everyone back from a 25-8 team last year and will have everyone back but Hartig again next year and a great group of freshmen that play jv and freshmen. The Lady 'Stangs will be tough the next four years. One player isn't going to beat a good team. The Lady 'Stangs were close to having four in double figures, didn't shoot real well as they had been, and still won pretty easy. Brossart physically was far from 100%. The thing that sets Brossart apart is that tough defense, team work and overlal depth and team balance. They have three freshmen that would start on most 10th Region teams. Coach Feldmann was Northern Kentucky Coach of the Year last year and 10th Region Coach of the Year. He will make adjustments too. Last year wasn't adjustments it was a serious injury to Eisenman with her ankle and Futscher had the flu!

 

Aren't Greis and Kues Seniors or are you saying you won't miss them next year? :idunno: They are both very good players and a big part of the team. Can't believe you over looked them.
