Highlands plays without two senior contributors (Schaefer and Parton). Game was closer than the final score. Cooper was within striking distance the entire game. They were leading at halftime 25-24. Birds jumped out early in the third, but Cooper refused to go away. I was impressed with Cooper's defense and it kept them in the game.

 

Highlands was led by freshman Haley Coffey with 16. Again Abner a great floor leader and is able to settle the young birds down late in the game. Good defensive effort by the birds again today.

There have been games when she has carried the team. Last week she had two real good games. She hasn't played a bad game on offense. If anyone would have a knock on her, it would be her defense at times. But the effort has been there in the last couple games. She's having a very good senior season!

She has had her moments both good and not so good. Highlands will go as far as Daley takes them this yr. She will decide how far they go...

When she is on her game, Highlands is very tough to beat.
