Mustang, I usually find your posts to be reasonable but this time it's pretty lame. I am a Brossart fan myself. CCMS is BBHS's home away from home anyway. It's about allowing many more fans to enjoy a great game, not to mention a larger gate and concessions. Brossart has finally gotten their program to a very respectable level, one that many people would like to follow, and they can't get in the gym.

That was a pretty fair response to a completely reasonable post...the gym is too small for games of any interest. While it makes it ideal for Brossart in terms of any competitive edge to be gotten from a home court, it stinks for fans of NKY basketball. However, all gyms have their issues. NewCaths used to turn into a skating rink when there was a full house.

I'm sorry you consider my honest opinion lame, that the only way that Brossart would even consider moving the game to the Middle School would be if NCC also agreed to play it there on an annual basis. The Middle School is anything but Brossart's home away from home. Perhaps you haven't kept up with recent history BUT the Mustangs have lost to Campbell County in our last four outings in the Middle School. The last time we beat Campbell County there was in 2009 when Jake Rieger and Jordan Armstrong led the team. The last time we won a district championship there was in 2007.

 

IF you think for one moment that Mike Code would agree to play our home game at the Middle School but allow NCC to play their home game on the Carothers Road Hill, you are BADLY, SADLY mistaken. While the Mustangs have had success with the Breds in Alexandria and at neutral sites, we haven't beaten the Breds on the hill since 2002. The 2004 game was stopped due to slippery floor conditions in the third quarter. Our overall record on the hill is 2-5 since 97-98. Our record on neutral floors with the Breds is 3-1, and in the SyDome 5-1. See you at the SyDome on February 1st!

 

Banking Board - Thanks so much for recognizing that we have FINALLY gotten our program to a respectable level. It actually happened back in 1990-91 when Tommy Creamer became the head coach and then really took off when Willie Schlarman took over in 1997-98 (28-7, 10th Region Finalists). Moving from NKAC Divsion III to NKAC Division II in 1996 actually marked our coming of age as a program. Incidentally, we haven't had a losing season in 19 years and don't plan on having another one anytime soon.
