From the last little bit I heard of this game. It was a dandy. Owsley missed several free throws under a minute to go that would have sealed it then. Powell comes back and starts making baskets. Hubbard (Powell) came up and hit a huge 3 for Powell to cut the lead to within 2 (If I recall), Owsley missed the front end of a 1/1, Powell came up took a 3 and missed it. Owsley was fouled, missed yet another 1/1 Powell comes down misses a shot, Owsley get's the rebound and get's fouled and makes both free throws. Marcum hits a 3 from halfcourt but it was a little too late for the Pirates as they fall 65-63 to Owsley. This is a huge win for the Owls.

2 Weeks (Dec. 14) Powell at Estill. This game will be a dandy

Big district win for the Owls. Congratulations to the team and Coach Green.

That district always seems to be very competitive with Estill, Powell, Owsley, and Lee. Who is the favorite this year?

There's probably not very much difference in the 4 teams. Estill County is hosting the district tournament this year, so that may give them a slight advantage in winning the district title.
