I was at the pep rally for the Cooper boys football team that is going to state and missed the game, but congrats to my Lady Jags for the win over St. Henry in the Dixie Heights Tournament. I don't have stats, but I heard the girls played great together. Considering how small the Lady Jags are, they must have done good on the Dixie big girl. 2-1 is a great start to the season. Close game thoughout. Dixie played much harder in their games against Holmes and Cooper but could not get over the hump. By the way, Dixie's big girl (Tibbs) had 18 points vs Cooper and 17 vs. Holmes and played very well.

Paige Ross lead the way for the Jaquars with 19 points. She had her best game of this young season. Savannah Brinneman and Katey Pittman each had 11 points.

 

Cooper will get a lift with the return of Grace Maniacci this week. She is out of the boot and working to get back on the court very soon. This should add some depth to a very thin front line.
