Lady Cougars did win 10 games last year including a road win at Scott, but this is still a surprise!

I wouldn't say shocking. Calvary returns everyone from last year. Down by 8 at the half, Calvary used full court pressure defense to turn the tide. Jordan Doram for Harrison County (rated 1st or 2nd in the region) is an outstanding player. She had 19 in the first half, not sure what she ended up with, but she played very well.

Do you think, as I do, that guard play will be the key to Harrison County's success? From what I saw last year, if you pressure their guards, they really struggle with turning the ball over.

Your exactly right. I don't think too many teams in the 10th region have anyone who can guard Doram straight up. The key is to not let her catch the ball around the rim. The (HC) guards did struggle with full court pressure and they even had Doram bringing the ball up a couple of times. A charging call on her with under a minute left in the game and Calvary up by 1, waived off a basket and kept the momentum on Calvary's side.

I am sure the HC guards will get better throughout the year, I think they only have 1 senior on their roster.
