In one of the premier opening day match-ups the 6th Region top dog Bullitt East Chargers face the 11th Region Lafayette Generals.

 

The match-up will likely center around Derek Willis vs Jackson Davis, two of the top forwards in the state. However, how Lafayette matches up against fellow seniors Trey Rakes and Rusty Troutman will be more important.

 

I'll stick with the 6th Region though and take Bullitt East to win by 8, with Rusty Troutman leading the way for the Chargers.

Hoping to make this game tonight, if not I'll likely head over to Scott Co. when they host Ballard.

Lafayette is big, but BE goes 6'6 (Young); 6'9 (Willis), and 6'4 (Troutman) on the front, so that is a wash. The perimeter play of Trey Rakes, along with Willis and Troutman will be very difficult for Lafayette, and BE may win by a lot if they make their perimeter shots. I like BE by 16 points, and they should reach the 75 point mark.
