Egypt in chaos again

Featured Replies

The brotherhood wants this total control so they can incorporate Sharia Law. Egypt will soon turn into Iran.

The brotherhood plays the game good, looks like they want peace, democracy, fairness, but in reality it is all for show. They are now beginning to show a few of their true colors.

I just don't see most Egyptians or their military allowing it, not saying they won't try, just it won't be easy.

And BTW, as I told someone last week in a PVT. Assad will be dead in 6 months.

Tens of thousands Vs over 200,000, if they are so bold then why don't the venture over to Tahrir Square? And again, there is one force they need to recon with, the military.

The brotherhood wants this total control so they can incorporate Sharia Law.

How did the young people who supported the down fall of Egypt's old government not see this coming. Did they really think they would still have all the freedoms they had before. By freedoms I mean technology and women's rights.

The brotherhood are smooth talkers and fooled many by saying only what they wanted to hear until it was too late.

Very good article by none other than the liberal NBC. Maybe they will make Obamam stand up and take notice.

We are such hypocrites for what we did to Libya and not doing to Syria.

I am 100% sure those young people, as well as others, such as women and more so the military will not let it get too far before there is another revolution. It was THEIR decision, and they have to let it play out.

Our worries need to be on Syria, Assad will use chemical weapons if he needs to, and it's coming to that point right now. I have said Assad will be dead in 6 months, he may see it coming to and end as well to use such tactics. The reason we haven't done much in Syria to this point is Russia, they don't want to lose their port there, but there has been kind of an agreement with them now. Obama has drawn the line in the sand now with Syria, if they even move chemical weapons, watch how fast we get involved.

It was their decision? Come on, Obama green lighted the overthrow of Mubarek with his 'orderly transition that must begin now' statements in January of 2011. This emboldened the movement and left no options without a massacre. Obama has been trying the same move in Syria but as the last dictator standing Assad is not going so easy. Asylum offers seem to be nil at this point. The MB put Mubarek on trial for basic corruption after he 'resigned'. Assad's current rap sheet - real or exaggerated - would guarantee he would soon be meeting his old friend Hussein (the Irag one, not the American one).

So today we have charges of chemical weapons. And? Iraq used them and it was not justification for deployment of US forces. There is no authorization for open engagement of Syrian forces. War has not been declared, there is no Congressional resolution and I am not sure what UN resolution is in place. Syria is not a strategic interest of the US. Or it wasn't. It is not apparent what has changed.

The MB wants Syria. We certainly are helping overthrow Assad with everything except direct engagement. This new event seems to be the justification to complete the work with US forces.

Again, two things, Heritage Foundation AND it was a free election. The people decided, and it will be the people and the military who stops anything they don't like, and they are showing that now.

We will be involved in Syria if chemical agents are even moved.

I agree MSF, we also should have been more involved with Sudan as well.

Lets see.

Obama threatens Syria if they move chemical weapons.

Obama does nothing when North Korea threatens us with Nukes

Obama keeps letting Iran build Nukes

Obama wants to help take Syria down for,the Muslim Brotherhood, just a part of the overall plan to allow for the Brotherhood to take over and implement Sharia Law all over the area.

Sharia Law,,coming soon to the USA. Wait and see if CAIR doesn't push hard for it with smooth talk.

Mubarek resigned in February of 2011. The elections were to in September of 2011. He never got that far. He 'resigned' after initially agreeing to power sharing with the vice President and after Obama signaled that change should come 'soon'. Mubarek was on trial before the elections for 'corruption'.

Why will we be involved if chemical agents are moved? Again, what UN resolution is in place dealing with Syria, what Congressional resolution or act has authorized US military engagement?

Funny how Obama has refused to speak up on whats happening in Egypt now..
