Overconfidence? I don't recall explicitly stating that either Bowling Green or Warren Central would beat John Hardin, let alone "kill" them.

 

Though I do believe Bowling Green will beat them. What does it matter what I think Warren Central would do in that game? They're in a freaking district with Bowling Green.

It really doesn't matter. And i think everyone has BG locked for the 5A title. I do too. I was referring to the comment made about hoping WC and JH never meet in the playoffs. I took that to mean WC would beat John Hardin. Context seemed to indicate a matter of fact. This sounds a bit overly confident considering you haven't seen JH play this year.

I honestly can't remember that comment so I'll take your word for it. I can tell you that I did a search for my posts with the word Hardin in it and I don't see anything remotely approaching that from me, in or out of context. The closest I've even come to taking a shot is that in my opinion Mayfield > Boyle County and Ballard > Henry Clay in regards to the two teams' schedules, and that was in John Hardin's week 6 thread for the J-Town game. I even stated that Warren Central's schedule wasn't so dramatically better (which is a total matter of opinion) as to slam John Hardin for theirs.

 

I'll put it to you like this - I have faith in Warren Central as a team that I believe they could win that game if it were ever to happen. I would consider the game to be a pick 'em, but if I were predicting the game, I would pick Warren Central honestly on gut because there's little on their resumes that is so drastically different that I could say I see a distinct advantage. I would hardly place it in a category of "would beat" or to phrase it differently that I would consider it a lock. Teams like their playoff opponent Hopkinsville or a team like Southwestern who they played last week get that type of designation from me.

I would agree with regard to a pick'em this year, not in year's past. Although I do think if WC was more diversified offensivley,(not just Jet & Jet Pass) they would beat us. I don't think scheduling is a really consistent measure of a teams' potential. Playing Highlands & Trinity isn't going to help us beat BG IMO. I'm a big fan of personnel. This year, JH is not as athletic as they have been recently. But I do think we're better than WC. So we'll just have to agree to disagree. But I wish you guys luck against BG....sincerely. I would love to see a JH/WC matchup.

I have to disagree. I'm talking as a team. We have more players that can play and contribute than years past.

 

If we get the chance to play in the semi state finals we would host at John Hardin. Home field advantage thru all four playoff games would be nice.

Home field thru is always an advantage. I'm just not sure that will be enough though. I hope your right!
