mcpapa
Royals have now pitched 9 consecutive shutout quarters. Ole' papa figured that Coach B would throw a healthy dose of Rashon Nelson at the Panthers and Nelson delivered - 165 yards and 3 TDs on 35 carries. Stats weren't terribly unbalanced; Mason County wins the total yardage battle 273-197. 4 Panther turnovers (to Mason County's 2) a big difference in the game. Fleming QB McAdams was back from a 2-game suspension for this one but it wasn't nearly enough. Royals miss the playoffs last year but go undefeated in the district this time around; going 5-0 over the last half of the season (all district wins). Obvious key to the season was the amazing fourth quarter turnaround in Flatwoods. Bye week coming up for Mason County and a chance to rest up a bit before hosting a first-round playoff game. Panthers finish third in the district.
