October 11, 201213 yr It is not terrorism, it is called "Total War", and it was very effective the last time the United States used it as our military policy. Ask the people that are still left from the fire bombing of Tokyo and Dresdin. This is not WWII. Quit comparing the two. War tactics are different, obviously. We are fighting insurgents and thugs. Not a country. If you agree with the killings, that's your choice. Just know or at least realize it is counterproductive and it does nothing but hurts our troops more who should no longer be there in the first place, by creating more and more enemies. I said before, you can't expect killing 3,000 innocent people will not have blowback. When it happened to us we invaded entire countries, so I'm not really understanding how bombing them with drones and them showing some form or resentment is surprising.
October 11, 201213 yr So were we terrorist in WWII? I was pointing out the hypocricy and contradictions that I have seen when people label what is and what isn't terroristic or barbaric. FDR's policies can be credited to what happened at Pearl Harbor. I guess it depends on whether or not you believe economic sanctions on a specific country is a rational foreign policy. He was attacked by the media in the 40's for his remarks and thoughts about politics, arabs, jews, germans, french, english, christians, russians, and other groups of the human race. I would not expect any different reaction in 2012 vs 1940's to any of his thoughts or quotes.
