NBA Preseason Updates...

Liggins and Orton are fighting for the final spot on OKC. A writer I read thinks Orton will get it due to lack of size on the team. In the same article he made the case that Liggins could start but they have so many other 2s he may start the year in the NBDL.

Thing that hurts Liggins is they already have somebody that can do what he does, and that's Sefolosha. If they are hurt for size, at least Orton would give an element they don't have. In today's NBA teams try to get as many role types as they can. Kris Humphries type's for rebounds, long perimeter defender, three point specialist, stretch 4, banger, shot blocker, etc. If Liggins gave your more offense he would be a better choice, but since your getting mostly hustle and defense out Liggins you get the same from Sefolosha. So if your going to take up your wing roster spots you need more offense out of whoever else you carry besides Thabo. Orton (hypothetically) gives you some size for rebounding and blocking shots at least, and OKC needs bigs.

OKC has plenty of big similar to Orton

Thabeet

Collison

Aldrich

Perkins

They are all better than him.

Teague had 2 points in 3 minutes last night.

It's hard to argue with the $$ and security that come with a first-round pick. However, I think in the long run (easy for me to say) he would have been better off playing one more year under Cal.

No doubt about it. Hopefully he can learn a lot from D-Rose otherwise he better be smart with his money.

AD with 6 points on 2-10 FG, with 13 rebounds tonight.

Could have taken advantage of a weaker draft class too.

When does D Rose come back for Bulls?

Most think somewhere around March.

Miller hit 2-3 3's in 15 minutes tonight. Great shooting % from 3 this per season.

Most think somewhere around March.

I had not read anything on Rose, but I assumed it would be late February or early March just going off of memory…

That long? Wow!

Some have even talked about him not playing at all this year.

They aren't really saying anything, seems like people are just making educated guesses.
