Does winless Western have any shot at #1 Central?

No Central rolls by 4 or more td's.

Central may very well be one of the Top 5 teams in the state behind T, X, BG, and Highlands.

 

Central takes care of business 34-20.

Central wins big in this one. Western hasn't seen and won't see speed like the Jackets possess.

Speed and execution are not the same thing.

Highlands doesn't have the overall team speed of Central.. They play fast and that makes them look faster than what they are. Central actually is that fast.. That doesn't mean I think Central is better than Highlands, just that I think they have more overall team speed.

I hear that Central has over 60 players on its varsity. Can anyone confirm this? If true, isn't that a big number for a 3A school?

They have had good numbers over the past few years, KHSAA has them in the high 50's n their roster. There are a few other 3A programs who keep around 60+ players as well. Belfry is typically in the 65-70 range, Russell, Monroe County, Breathitt County, and Tilghman are all around the 60 mark and for the most part stay in that area.
