Is the KHSAA going to have to close the out of state loophole like Ohio did? Ohio says you must live in state to be eligible to play sports.

 

There are ways around those rules too. I know of people living in Ky and having an address in Ohio so that they can go to school and play sports in Ohio.

Agreed. Find a guardian, send the kid to live with Grandma, use some rental property you own for yourself, move to an apartment, etc. I know of people doing it too. There are ways around almost any rule. But at least you make it as difficult as possible and do your best to make people live by the rule. Back in the 70's before Ohio changed their rule, one year there were a half dozen players for Moeller living in KY. Now there are none that I know of.
