The running game does seem to be better this year. I just think last years offense was more explosive and the pass set up the run quite well. The offense finished in the top 5 all time in scoring in the nations history last year, so it isn't putting them down. There are hundreds of thousands of other offenses that didn't score as much as Highlands did last year. I think that was a very special offense last year. I will say that the season isn't over though, my mind can change and I hope it does.

Regarding last year's offense, it did appear the Highlands' offense was impacted pretty significantly after Sheehan was lost to injury in the playoffs. I think they became less explosive without him... at least that is what I had heard.

The Birds will see how good they really are in a couple weeks.

 

At this point I would make CCH a slight favorite. I hate to say it.....
