Bishop Brossart/Bracken County predictions

The host Polar Bears enter the game with a somewhat surprising undefeated record, scoring convincing victories over Betsy Layne in week 1 & Knott County Central in week 2. Brossart will arrive from Alexandria also undefeated, having played just one game--a 42-20 rout over Middletown Christian.

 

For fans of the running game, I would think this matchup would be highly entertaining, as both teams (for the most part) enjoy getting it done on the ground. Against Middletown, the Mustangs racked up nearly 600 rushing yards, led by senior tailback Jacob Elbert's eye-popping 28 carries, 430 yards, & 5 touchdowns.

 

Meanwhile, Bracken County's backfield is spearheaded by senior backs Dallas Honan & Connor Rigg, who have given the opposition fits thus far. Together, the duo averages 211 yards per game on the ground. Throw into the mix fellow senior bruiser Eli Florer, who ran for 108 yards on 12 carries in the victory over Knott County Central this past week.

 

One of these teams remains undefeated after Friday night. Who will it be?
