They could have had a chance for some late inning magic then... In all honesty Homer just had some bad luck with some of those early runs. A lot of those hits were ground balls that just happened to find the holes, it was just one of those days it happens. A lot of those hits happened because Bailey kept making bad pitches with 2 strikes. His offspeed stuff was terrible today just couldn't miss bats.
