They knew that when St. Henry hired him, that he was interested in Beechwood job if it came available. St. Henrys principle was his assistant coach at Lloyd when he played there in 76-77 year

 

 

How could he have told them "earlier?"

It's common for sports to share fields, including baseball fields. But if you can afford a turf football field, you can afford to fill in and roll the infield. The last time my son played there he took a grounder in the throat and another three hopper bounced over his head. If my son played infield for Beechwood I'd be concerned for his safety.

 

Totally agree. Unfortunately, the maintenance was all one guy. While I applaud his emmense effort, he utlimately chose not to ask for help or even accept it when offered. I personally don't like the Grass baselines from a maitenance standpoint,but I think they are there to stay.

 

I do think there are many infields, both Dirt and Grass that are worse than Beechwood.

I am sure things will change now. Fields will be fixed, an upgrade will happen.....
