What's bad is that I think it's a shame they served beer at a high school event but if I was there I would have had at least one.

Almost all of those guys are reporting to college in the next week or two and have graduated. Drink up...

I just got in from the game. Ky boys played really hard and thought they might just pull off the upset. Jeril Taylor was injured during the game and did not return. He only played 6 minutes. If he dosn't play tomorrow, we are down to 9 players. So very proud of all the players but expecially Bopper Stenzel. He was the floor general for the team. He lead the Ky team with 6 assists. KY was out rebounded 51-33. Ky made 19-25 FT and Ind 26-33. I have more stats if you want them, but it is late and I am going to bed.

• Indiana 90, Kentucky 85: The Hoosiers survived after the home team turned a 12-point second-half deficit into a 79-75 lead with five minutes left. Alan "Bopper" Stenzel missed a tying 3-point attempt in the closing seconds, and R.J. Hunter hit two clinching free throws with 1.3 seconds left.

“In order to win that game we had to do everything perfect,” said Kentucky coach Jason Booher of Holmes. “We were exactly where we wanted to be. There were a couple of key turnovers. We had a fast break and there was a crucial turnover. With these guys, hats off to their effort.”

The pivotal play came with Indiana clinging to an 86-85 lead. With Kentucky apparently heading toward a fast-break layup, Indiana University signee Kevin Ferrell made a steal that led to a dunk by Glenn Robinson III with 10.5 seconds remaining.

“He’s a great player,” Indiana coach Craig Teagle said of Ferrell. “Every minute he was out there he dictated where the ball was (with his pressure). You eventually wear that ball-handler down, and that’s what he did.”

Kentucky suffered a blow when Jeril Taylor left in the second half with what Booher described as a knee ligament strain. His status tonight is unknown.

Indiana Mr. Basketball Gary Harris scored 20 points. Kentucky Mr. Basketball Nathan Dieudonne of Trinity led all scorers with 24, and Tamron Manning of Scott County had 23.

“We just made a couple of mistakes,” Dieudonne said. “We had it.”
