I agree I think H. Dossett is the most worthy from GC. I think she is top 10 offensively and defensively. I'm not interested in bashing any players or coaches, I just think the system did not pick the best players this year. Congratulations to those honored.
No bashing here, especially the players. I congratulate them all. The subject of this thread was how Gallatin had 0 players and Walton had only 1 make the team. I responded with honest answers about that, where Gallatins coach is concerned. I only said the things that everyone else whispers about. The system, while being a good one, did not pick all the right players as you said.

Sorry but you are bashing. Gallatin's coach, Carroll Co's horrible team, a Carroll Co. player, Owen Co. player and all of N. Ky. people. Read your post.

Obviously, allsports44 is venting a ton of frustration, of which I can sympathize with. But, I don't think their intention is to bash any individual players. In the grand scheme of the things, none of this really matters. The GC players are good enough to stand on their own, as they have proven the last couple of seasons.

I absolutely agree with you that any or all 4 are worthy of being on the team. With probably 40 to 50 good players to choose from and only 15 spots I think you can see how the Gallatin votes could get split. I wouldn't argue with all 4 of the Gallatin girls and the 3 Walton girls that have been mentioned. Unfortunately, that is 7 of the 15 spots right there, would you fault any of the coaches for not voting all 7?
I understand what you are saying, but still no excuse for GC to not get any. That being said, I would imagine the GC players and coaches would rather have the 8th Region championship trophy!

WOW!!! A girl from Carroll being on it is just a mistake!
Not neccesarily, but I think that the wrong Carroll County player might have been picked.

Hey, I make enough people mad in my day job, I'm only speaking for myself. I have heard many of the things you discussed, I just don't want to go there. From time to time my kids got questioned regarding their athletic abilities when they played, and I vowed then that I would try to be overly positive when talking about kids. Coach Edmondson is a very good person and she loves and cares for each of the kids on that team. She is an adult, and she gets paid, so to some degree, it comes with the territory. I haven't seen enough of her games to give her a fair evaluation. I see Oldham won the region, congratulations to the lady colonels.

On a humorous note, most people in northern Kentucky would only consider Simon Kenton and WV as northern Kentucky. Boone, Kenton and Campbell Counties are northern Kentucky. Grant, Gallatin and Owen are wannabes. Ha!! Probably for another thread.

Maybe you should go back and re-read my post because you misquoted me. This is my opinion and be as it may,I am allowed to have one just as you are allowed yours. To think that this is only the opinion of one though would be foolish, as the points I mentioned have been the conversation of many since this list came out. I do apologize though if I hit a little too close to home for some and stepped on some toes.

Coaches must have gotten confused.

N. Ky schools don't want teams like Gallatin, Owen, and Grant to be considered "Northern Ky" because their rankings in sports would drop.

All of the girls on the list are worthy and congrats to them.

Agree,But, Kelsey hit .500 against teams in the 8th Region is why she got voted. Coaches don't remember defense but the remember which batter hit a bomb against them. But I do agree with you FBD.

High School coaches tend to forget about defense for some reason. Congrats to her.

She seems to be a very nice person and I'm sure that she is good to the girls but that does not a good coach make. I am dumbfounded that based on the caliber of players on that team that none of the parents have complained to the administration. I'm sure there are many qualified coaches who would love to take over that program considering gallatin has a couple more really good years ahead of them. I have a feeling that if the Superintendent and the Principals kids would have had a coach of this capacity, that would not have lasted long!I'm sorry, but I feel bad for the parents and the players especially who have to deal with this year after year. That would not be tolerated anywhere else I assure you.
