George Rogers Clark High School graduate Taylor Howard signs a national letter-of-intent to play basketball at Asbury College Wednesday at the school. Howard is joined on the front row from left by grandmother Cleo Howard, mother Lena Howard, father Kenny Howard and brother Drew Howard. Congrats to Taylor!!! That's great for a kid who was playing at the Y his junior year. Good luck to him going forward. I know that outside of his family no one is as proud of him as Goldie is.

So very proud of him!!. This kid got to live his dream of starting on a team that won the region, reach the elite 8 in the state tourney and to play at Rupp. Now getting to play at the next level. And they say dreams don't come true.....don't tell this to Taylor Howard....he is living proof that they can.

Gongratulations Taylor, I wish you the best.

Congrats to this outstanding young man! He play was HUGE for GRC and the successful season they had. I am very proud of this young man!

Great news for a super kid who came out of nowhere to have a fantastic senior year.

I was fortunate enough to Coach Taylor in baseball when he was 9 yrs old. I knew then that Taylor was going to be a good baseball player someday. He is such a good kid and i am so proud of him. He is was a leader on the court and i hope my son is half the kid Taylor Howard is. Good Luck Taylor!

I didn't know he had a basketball bone in his body. I was around him a lot two summers ago when he played baseball for Kentucky Baseball Club. He always mentioned how he'd love to suit up for Clark County's basketball team. Little did he or I know that he could be a college basketball player.

Maybe Clark County can have Taylor's little brother Drew play at the Y for the next three years, then bring him in to start on a State Tournament team his Senior year.

As I stated earlier , this was his dream. When he was a Junior and GRC went to the state tourney, he told me he would love to play at Rupp. I told him, go out for the team again next year. After we won the 10th region this year, I told him, Taylor.....YOU will be playing at Rupp. Now a scholarship to play college basketball on top of that......what a amazing story.
