Franklin -Simpson 2012

Featured Replies

What does Franklin-Simpson need to do to improve in 2012? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Nothing for the 2011 runner up?

Will they go back to WKU?

In short, no. Too much youth, not enough veterans. They'll most likely fight it out for the #2 seed in their district with Allen County-Scottsville.

Who will be #1?

I expect Warren East will take that district. They nearly pulled the trick last year, falling by only 3 to Franklin-Simpson. Their end against Owensboro was a head scratcher for me, but they return a lot of talent from last year, much more than Franklin-Simpson to be sure, and enough to stay ahead of AC/S.

That's pretty impressive. I'm not used to hearing the words 'district favorite' and 'Warren East' in the same sentence in anything that isn't Girls Baskeball. Good for Warren East.

Warren East also will benefit greatly from Warren Central transfer Eli Brown, arguably one of the best players in south central Ky.

If East can get going they have a real shot to win the region and a chance to play in the state finals.

Wow. This is surreal. Wouldn't that be something.

East has changed quite a bit in the past 10 years. It's not just a bunch of farm kids anymore.

East should've made the finals in 2007. I think if their state semi game was at home instead of Lone Oak, they would have won it.

I sure did hate to see Eli Brown leave Warren Central. Very talented sophomore and he'll be a huge boon to East for years.

Franklin-Simpson will pick themselves back up in the next year or two.
