Pendelton Cty 71 Campbell Cty 68

Campbell County is coached by 10th region hall of famer Mike Reitz. Any team that he coaches could have no talent what so ever and he compete with anybody just because he knows how to succeed.

Campbell County is very much improved from last year. They almost upset a top 10 state ranked team. They have very talented players in White, Clines, Walker and McCain. It's almost like icing on the cake with Reitz calling the plays.

Sometimes it does seem that Pendleton plays down to there opponents, but in this case I don't think they did. I firmly believe that Campbell Co. will be one of the top teams in the 10th by the end of the year. Call them underrated if you want, but Campbell can beat any team in the 10th on any night.

Good observation regarding Coach Reitz, and Campbell being somewhat underrated. White, Clines and McCain all played very well tonight, but Walker?? He got torched by Belcher inside, and seemed to always be a step slow on defense. His footwork is weak, and he doesn't appear to be improving much as high school goes along, but he is big!!

Closer than I had projected, Campbell will move up in my FreakNasty's power poll.....

Wow what a result for Campbell. I would have picked PC by an easy 15. Very very impressive score. Also a good win for PC. lol

cant wait to watch the rematch next friday!

I heard Campbell was minus one starter as well?

Starting PG Kyle Schmidt was out with illness and Marcus Clines had been sick as well over the past days but he still played and had 25 points! Braden McCain had a great game coming off the bench. The big improvement in this game for the Camels was commiting so few turnovers 7 to PC's 13 or so. The Camels are improving with each game and with Coach Reitz as their coach they will win their fair share of games this year. Go Camels!

Pendleton did not have a very good game last night. They came out strong but simply got out hustled. Campbell County played a good game and really hustled. Reitz is a great coach and is always dangerous to play against. Campbell can upset an team in the 10th this year. PC did not have good second half and free throws is what saved the game for them. I don't know what they shot from the floor but it seemed like their precentage in the second half was down. PC will be back on track tonight for the semifinal round. Can't wait to see tonight's matchup!!!!

Pendleton shot 42% in the second half but the difference for the Camels was defending the three point shot, PC shot 0 for 3 from behind the three in the second half. Both teams percentage for free throws was exceptional with an overall percentage of 89%.

Anytime you have a good team playing a top-ranked team, there is the potential for upset. The lower ranked team almost always brings their A+ game. Everybody wants to knock off a big dog. Glad to see that PC managed to pull out a close one. Hopefully, they have a better performance tonight against the Mustangs. Look forward to seeing the PC vs CCHS rematch next week, and good luck to the Camels in the rest of the 10th.

Go Cats!
