Was Logan County the last 3 years. They were 2-25 the year before he got there and were 22-11 last year in a pretty tough region. He was named co-coach of the year in the 4th region last year by the KABC. He is originally from Floyd County and coached girls at Betsy Layne and possibly boys also. Part of coming to Greenup County i think is getting back towards the eastern part of the state from what i can gather. I have heard he will coach 6 or 7 more years before he is able to retire from teaching so it seems like a good fit for GC who needs some experience and stability in the coaching department.

They had 9 seniors on last years team with 2 juniors and the rest were sophs, freshman and a 7th grader. One of the 2 juniors last year quit early in the season and the other is recovering from a knee injury and is out for a while. I think there will be a couple seniors come out for the team when fall comes around. GC has around 910 students total so theres at least 420+ boys available in 4 grades. It's hard to figure out just by the numbers. I think the coaching turnover is a huge part of it though.

Now that a coach has been hired and he has had time to spend some time with the boys at camp last week at Georgetown, has anyone heard any comments on what he thinks? Heard some real good things about the coach and that he was a good hire for Greenup County.
