Ludlow 6 Villa 3

Featured Replies

Coud this be the beginning of the excuses if by some strange chance HC upsets CCH?

I'm not following. A guy with a nephew on Ludlow is umpiring CCH/HC and somehow that might be made into an excuse?

Do tell.

Wow are you the ump stalker im sure this will take time to sort out same name doesn't always mean they are related this has to come from khsaa and they will not just go on the angrey fans word. I would ask for dna samples if I was the ump and this was that big of a deal give you a little bit longer to follow him around. Oh I just heard he will be doing the 9th region tournament maybe they will get it straight before next year.

OK...BBBS...one more time since you obviously didn't read the thread......

.......and I will type slow in case you don't read too fast or goodly.........

Not just same last name.....confirmed related before the game started. V's Coach is actually a teacher at Ludlow so there is a connection ad he is aware of Uncle/Nephew......

UMP was actually at the 34th Champonship game to see his Nephew from Ludlow be named to the All District team.....Congrats to the Nephew, by the way......he played very well.

The Umpire assignor, realizing that there was a mistake, moves the Ump after the game in question. The UMP knew the relationship before taking the assignment. A way to cover up a mistake? Perhaps?

Seems the only one being held up to the KHSAA code of conduct is the player that was tossed by this ump during the game as he serves his suspension next year.

I guess my stalking is almost done......by the way BBBS, you need to take your garbage cans in...

Ok im done with this crap and by the way my garbage runs on friday good try though

It appears that despite the umpire controversary the better team (Ludlow) won this game. Congratulations to the Panthers once again.

Let me just straighten it out for you, the coach for Villa did know the relationship of ump and player before the start of the game, this was never a "secret" why didn't he question it before the game? He could have said he wasn't comfortable with it but guess he was waiting for a good time like when Villa was losing. Maybe ump should have excused himself but let me assure you the assignor and other coaches for other teams all knew when Ludlow played them and it was never a problem. So therefore ump didn't really think it would be a problem because he knew he wouldn't favor Ludlow and could make the right calls, and nobody questioned it during any other games; he's a fair ump and has been umping for many years. As far as the calls in question, anybody at the game knows the truth. The player was thrown out for telling ump he sucked, as any ump would have done and coach was restricted for kicking dirt on homeplate not for questioning the relationship as you just stated it was known before the game. Sounds pretty fair there. As far as the close safe or out call at plate, well at any game when there is a close play, the offense team will always say safe and the defense team will always say out, that's why it is a close call in those situations, and Villa did lose by more than one. Last but not lease the Ludlow player that was hit by pitch, was not "surpised" but did the right thing and took base when ump made his call and you left off the homeplate ump after making the hit by pitch call, he didn't swing made an appeal to the field umps and the call was "the player was hit by pitch and did not swing" so are you questioning the other umps also. The ump is actually harder on his nephew and anyone at a game knows this. Also just to say Ludlow beat Villa in regular season with different umps and as far as the ump being at the championship game to watch his nephew be named to all tourney team, do you really know this, maybe he just came to watch the game, but regardless, didn't know it was any of your concern where the ump goes on his free time. And on last note both teams Ludlow and Villa played a great game.

^this right here is what is wrong with the whole situation. The ump should never be in a position to be harder on his nephew as he should never be an official in any of his nephews games period. The umpire knows this, he is in the wrong, he will be punished accordingly.

Im really suprised to see this is still going. Plantmanky you must be board.

Not bored at all, just a stickler for the correct way officials are supposed to adhere to the rules of their sport. You don't official a family members game, period.
