May 15, 201214 yr Where was the 1B coach? It didn't look like he was telling him anything. On the radio they said that Delgado ran right through Terry Pendleton's stop sign...plus the ball was right in front of Delgado.
May 15, 201214 yr I'd love to see Bailey excel. It seems like most Reds fans have singled him out as the whipping boy because he didn't meet their expectations after getting drafted early out of high school. Bailey is only 26. I realize that people, myself included, are frustrated/disappointed with his performance over the past few years, but I still think he has a bright future. He's pitched pretty well this season thus far. Heck, if Jay Bruce could throw the ball accurately from 180 feet he'd be pitching a shutout.
May 15, 201214 yr Good grief. With as hot as Bruce has been, would you have bunted with Phillips? The thought most definitely crossed my mind. A lot of people would be opposed to it solely b/c BP is in the 4-hole, but I'm all about manufacturing runs especially on nights where the Reds look like they couldn't score against a little league squad.
