Seems that the Ninth Region, Y'all know about us, the one from up north, along the Ohio River just South of Cincinnati, the one that you all don't think plays baseball very well, had a pretty good baseball weekend.

 

Cooper beat Harrison County and Boyd County! Great job Jaguars!

Boone County beat Lafayette and Eastern this weekend! Outstanding job Rebels!

Conner beat Southern, Powell County and Eastern this weekend. At a boy Arlo and Cougars!

 

Oh, and they are not in the Ninth but are from our area up in the weak baseball area of Northern Kentucky, Bishop Brossart beat LexCath. Way to go Mustangs!

 

 

So maybe, just maybe the state will start to take notice of our Northern Kentucky baseball teams!

I saw the boxscore this morning and it certainly caught me by surprise.

St. Henry beat Bourbon County as well.

CovCAth is a legit state title contender and Holy Cross has a very solid team with good pitching. NKY teams are playing well.

Lex cath varsity run ruled beechwood 10-0 in five innings There were no varsity starters or players for Lexington catholic playing during the second game. But it was a pretty good showing from their jv and freshman.

Cooper lost the 2nd game Saturday to Madison Central but all Junior's and Senior's had left after the first game for the Prom as well. I think Cooper had a 6-0 lead before being beat 14-6. Cooper starting to play better at the right time!

Conner actually beat Lexington Tates Creek, not Eastern. The other 2 teams are correct, but your points are well taken!

No no No....I disagree (wink, wink). The 9th region is weak (wink, wink). If I were the other regions, I would save their pitching and look past those small 9th teams. :sssh:

The other teams are not correct, Boone lost to Lafayette, according to Khsaa and the Lafayette website.

I was actually referring to the other two teams that were listed as wins by Conner. I do not know the weekend results for Cooper or Boone. Sorry for the confusion.
