Director of Football Operations

Only a few that I know of, in most districts the BOE pays for an AD, if the school wants/needs an Asst AD, it has to come from the schools general funds somewhere.

That's kind of what I figured. Are there any public schools around that have and assistand AD?

Sk has an AD secretary, she handles emails and paperwork, I think Dixie has one too. Not sure about Scott. I know Twenhofel has Co-AD's.

The above duties sound like the job of most current ADs to me. I really don't think a position like this is needed in most schools.

With multiple boys and girls sports that sounds like a lot a lot a lot of work for an AD.

I agree. Ideally, I think the idea of the position is a good one (were money no object)...but unfortunately, money is quite the object - especially in public schools funded by public money. Cost aside, I can't see a reason why I would argue against having anyone appointed as "Director Of Football Operations".

I think the position is a great idea and it allows the HC to work on the field and let a lot of his off the field worries be taken care of by another person. An AD is just as busy as the HC so any help that can be provided by the DFO is a bonus. I am not saying the position needs to be a fully funded position but I would definitely use the position as a HC.
