My Updated 9th region top 10

Featured Replies

If everyone looks at the title of this thread I said 9th region. So Brossart, Scott, and Pendelton aren't eligible.

So they might be the Top 3 in the 10th.

1. Holmes

2. CCH

3. Highlands

4. Holy Cross

5. NCC

6. Dixie

7. Beechwood

8. Newport

9. St.Henry

10. Boone County

Right On :ylsuper:

Before I post this, I want to make sure everyone knows this is just my opinion RIGHT NOW. I dont think this is how it will end up, but I do think there are some teams that need help right now.

1. Holmes-Showed at the 5/3 they are as good as advertised.

2. Highlands-Good gaurds and strong inside. Senior oriented, defense oriented.

2. CovCath-Need Tierney to Return. The tiebreaker takes place on Friday. Without Tierney I take Highlands.

4. NCC-Still going through the football growing pains. Keirnan has proved what I've said all summer. He is going to be tough to handle. Good guards. Good D. Good Team.

5. Beechwood-Romes has the boys rolling and climbing up the ladder. Can they make a run at the All A.

6. Holy Cross-They are beating teams I didn't think they would beat. Possibly the most overlooked team in the Region.

7. Dixie-Lawson is healthy and they will keep improving. Easy district allows them to win easily in districts.

8. Newport-The team we all say is going to surprise people, isn't doing much surprising. Bad showing in the Campbell Co. Tourny Drops them to eigth.

9. St. Henry- Here comes the test for the CRU. District games vs. Conner and Boone. Then the All A. Then back to districts vs. Ryle. Time to step up.

10. I can't find anyone worthy of this spot.

Highlands over CovCath? A loss to a legitamate (sp?) Owensboro Catholic team didn't drop them that low. Even more surprising since you are more updated on Timmy's situation then the rest of us.

If you look closer I have them tied at #2. Thats why I said a tiebreaker takes place on Friday. I watched the Owensboro Cath game and the Elder game. Did you? If you did then you would agree that they are easily beatable without a legit PG like Tim. I might be updated (on the situation), but what does that have to do with how the team is playing without him?

I've also seen Highlands and know that they are playing very well right now, unlike CCH. Do I think this can change? Yes, Read the top of my post to understand what I am saying. Right now this is MY OPINION.

While HHS has a rather good team I question who they have played so far this year.

Newport has just not been the team that many thought they would be

Paris, not a basketball power by any means

St. Henry HHS beat them by 13 CovCath beat them by 17

Boone County most will agree that Boone is down this year

Anderson, Gallatin and Carroll Counties….. Please

E-town very good team and they got blown out….

Iroquois HHS beat Iroquois but they got beat by Dunbar by 11 who CovCath beat by 11

Ring Gold ???

Dixie beating Dixie had to be their best game so far.

CovCath

Dunbar not a great team but a good one

Ashland beat them by 51 points when Ashland was ranked 25 by LHL

St. Henry lives to beat CovCath and points to that game every year

Conner CovCath had to win that game to get rid of the bad dreams of last year, but Conner like Boone is weak this year

Lafayette a very good team has only lost one other game plays a tough schedule

West Hills not a good Cincinnati team but still a Cincy team

Elder CovCath lost but no reason to hang their head against a very good Cincinnati team

O-Cath with or without Tim they lose. O-Cath is the real deal watch them run the table in the All "A"

Calloway CovCath looked tired after a hard game the day before

Southwest game never in doubt

Matching up games is really no way to pick a winner, but other than playing Dixie (won) and E-town (lost) they have really played no one. IMHO

Still it should be a good game as both team know whats at stake in this one but I personally would rather have CovCath beat Beechwood as the Beechwood game is a district game.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion, just as I am entitled to give mine. I did misread the fact that you had them tied, though. As for Tierney, I have heard that his return is to be sooner than originally anticipated. With him back I think you agree with me that the Colonels are the better team.

I'm going to assume cch5432 watched the game very closely.

The birds are playing a lot of games and playing a lot of men. Three games in four days in Marion County, three games in Three days in Carroll County. Willie is getting these boys ready for two wars this week. I think it is the battle against the Catholics weekend. Cov Cath Friday night and New Cath on Saturday. If they win both of these games, hopefully a lot of the weak schedule talk will go away.

Or if they get destroyed, the talk will be fueled. :flame:

I won't guarantee a win for the Birds but I will say I don't think either team will be destroyed.

This game will not be 15 points either way. I would expect the winner to be up by about 4 with 30 seconds left, and pull away with FTs. The winner will probably win by 8 or so.

Not sure about Highlands, but if CovCath is up 4 with 30 seconds, they will win by a max of 5 judging by the way that they have been shooting free throws.
