Yep, you knew it was going to happen and it did in a big way in the bottom of the 1st inning as CovCath erupted for 9 runs.

And yep you knew it was going to happen CovCath was going to give up more than a run or two but in this game it didn't matter as CovCath cruised to their sixth straight victory today

Seriously, is it really necessary to post three different stat sheets for every game? I like reading the updates on all games about who won/loss, who played well, etc... but these stats are over the top and seem quite excessive for high school sports. If I was from Cov Cath, I'm not sure I would want everyone knowing stats anyway. Makes it fairly easy for the opposition to gather information unsolicited.

I think the CovCath players would want people to see that they are playing well, which is represented in the stats. TOG is very thorough in his score keeping for CCH games and does a great job to post that information because it's about getting the kids recognition for their play. If you don't like them you can scroll past them.

And in NKY high school baseball, teams will get information somehow. It's not like knowing a kid's stats is going to provide that big of an advantage. TOG isn't posting things such as "So and so can't hit the outside pitch" which would then be giving teams information that isn't readily public in the newspaper or other places online.

And sometimes I just wonder why I do any of it any more.

I got off work at 3pm yesterday and went home, took a shower. Got to the diamond around 4pm and helped Mary set up, then kept score. Left after the game but called in the score to the KHSAA scoreboard as I drove back to work where I stayed until 9pm, then posted a note about the game since nothing was posted until I posted at 9:08pm! Did the stats and posted them on BGP's then sent a more detailed stat sheet via E-mail to one of our Coaches and them finally ate dinner at around 10pm.

Funny I have been doing this for about seven years now and other than having some folks tell me it was a hit or an error when I though other wise, I have had no one complain to me about the stats I post and that includes the CovCath players, parents and more importantly coaches!

BTW Homer you should be happy since the CovCath vs. Cooper game was canceled today due to the rain, it will be made up tomorrow on Thursday at 10am and since with such short notice I can't get off work to attend, so I won't be there......and as thus won't post anything!

I never questioned your unbridled enthusiasm nor your allegiance to Cov Cath and their programs, I only questioned the need for 3 different stat sheets on every game. I simply find it excessive, especially the inclusion of those players who didn't see any action in the game - but I'm sure that's easier than editing every game. Obviously you and some others disagree with my opinion, but that's ok with me - it's what makes the world go round. As I stated earlier, I enjoy reading the game results from all games to see who won and lost, and I like the game updates and recaps. Guess I'll just scroll past them as Louie and NKU suggested (I can live with that). However, methinks you are a little too sensitive too differing opinions/thoughts.
