I guess turnabout is fair play. Last time CovCath won a football championship in Kentucky it was Ohio resident and head coach John Rodenburg leading the Colonels to the promised land.

My guess is he set a record for tallest coach with a title in OH.

When I was a kid playing Knothole baseball I played against a kid from Union named Robbie Hertzel. Good player. Fun kid. Had something about him that attracted people to him. He ended up going to school at Summit Country Day.

 

He died recently after a battle with cancer. His son was the starting center yesterday and the team wore "Robbie" warm-ups. Great tribute to a great guy.

Article in Enquirer said the father lost in state finals and this win was somewhat of a tribute to him. Nice !!!
