Any vegetarians on BGP?

Featured Replies

Anyone else fans of Portabella sandwiches instead of burgers? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE portabellas and actually prefer a portabella "burger" over a real burger.

I hate chicken so I rarely eat that anyway...unless I get it from Chicken King. :D

Nope...but I do eat turkey and salmon burgers a lot.

You can....

A lot of vegetarians give up fish as well....strictly veggies. They will eat animal by-products like eggs, milk and butter. But they do not eat "flesh" of any sort, including the cold water kind.

I don't consider eating fish as vegetarian. None of the vegetarians I know do either.

There used to be a little restaurant downtown Covington called Red Light (yeah, I know, but that is what it was called). Anyway, they had the BEST veggie burger I ever had in my life. Unfortunately, they closed up a year or two ago but I sure wish I had asked the staff what kind of veggie burger they used.

I do realize for religious purposes such as eating Hilal fish is considered ok while other meats are not. But in a scientific definition I do not think fish qualifies.

Neither do I, but I'm more confused as to where I ever said anything about not eating fish???

I'm still not sure what that has to do with me not eating meat on Fridays during Lent...

I'm allergic to vegetarian options.

Me too and my wife is a vegetarian. Dinner time is challenging sometimes.

If it's torture then eat some fish.

^ He does on Fridays.

This....I'm still confused.

You said you go without meat every Friday during Lent and it's torture. But you also say you eats fish on Fridays. One of those statements isn't true unless you don't qualify fish as a meat. Which you've already said you do.

That or I am immensely confused too.

I never said I considered fish meat, I don't. I said I don't think vegetarians eat fish either, or that's what I thought I was saying.

Some do some don't. Just depends on the person really.
