Game started out with both team tight and Gallatin with a few errors. Walton hit the ball better than Gallatin today and Thacker's pitching made the deference. Gallatin has a fine young team and the best Walton has faced so far.

Congrats to the Lady Cats.

The unofficial tally had WV with 8 hits, Gallatin with 5 hits and comitting several miscues in the field. Several outs were given away and that needs to be improved upon. WV did what they always do by taking advantage of those situations and also strung together some good hits. Thacker pitched well by mixing up speeds and hitting spots as did her catcher did a good job of calling and managing the game. WV improves to 2-0 and GC falls to 1-1 on this young season. Gallatin will need to shore up their defense in order to be successful again this season. I thought GC was better than WV in a few positions, but not enough obviously. Gallatin's left side of the infield and the pitcher and catcher match up well with anyone in the 8th Region. Congrats to Johnny and his team.

I think Gallatin has a bright future with this team. They are young so you don't know if they will fuly develop tomorrow or next year. I agree that Walton is stronger wit Ginn at SS but it is a nice option pitch her as well. I think Gallatin has a good shot at getting to the All A.

Disagree with that I thought she was very good over the last 2 games giving up only 3 runs in two games against some good teams. I do agree she has good defense behind her though along with a veteran catcher who can throw out stealers consistantly.
