My dad looks like a Mexican, follows some Hispanic customs, can talk Spanish, yet he is an American citizen who served the US Army prior to and during the Vietnam War, where he served two tours of duty. Is he a duck?

Is he a duck? Does he fit the duck description. Some ducks may get mad, but to keep everyone safe I guess a duck will have to suffer being checked to see if he is a good duck based on looking like a duck.
