They should be pretty good for sure. Not sure I would peg them as the favorites though. North Oldham and Johnson Central should both be relly tough.

The only stat that matters is the final score. Congratulation to Mayfield on their win! Williamsburg has nothing to be ashamed of. They sure surprised a lot of people who expected them to get slaughtered.

Central was at the top and they may be again after Friday. But when they introduce them before kickoff only one will be called the defending state champions. Right? For the record, there isn't another team in 3A I would rather see the Pirates play for the championship. Win or lose.

I respectfully disagree with your assessment. Wayne County dethroned Central last year in the Simi Finals and Belfry dethroned Wayne County in the championship. So as I see it in my completely unbiased opinion, Belfry is the King of 3A until proven otherwise: Belfry 27 Central 14

For Belfry the JC game mean very little in the big scheme of things. By the time it's played, Belfry already knows who their play makers are and if they are hurting, they rest. Same for first week of playoffs. I'll trade a lost to JC every year if it makes a run at the championship more likely. After all that's what your really after.
