I am not shocked CAL won this game! We played Cal and in my opinion they were the best team we played all year. Great size and speed makes it look easy! -
Boyle County has a few kids that play some varsity and they wanted to make sure those players were not in violation or close to it with a few of their young guys. That is why they only played the 6 min. quarters.

4A #9 Shelby County at Spencer County
FC Flyer replied to DragonFire's topic in KY Football (High School)
After seeing first hand both teams playing I would have to give the advantage in this ball game to Shelby County! Shelby County's defense in my opinion is the difference in this game. It will be a hard hitting game and it will be a good game to watch as a fan. -

Young defense for the Flyers! There are a lot of first time starters and underclassman on this team. I am most impressed with the fact that they are fighting through the mistakes and are now starting to believe in each other! The last two games FC has really improved and made strides to becoming a better team! I can tell you Spencer County's fans thought they were going to run all over FC! -

Franklin County/Beechwood Predictions

This game will come down to who makes more big plays. Real interested in the size of FC Offensive and Defensive line match up vs the smaller Beechwood lineman. Both teams are young and both have improved each week. I am always impressed with the Beechwood players and there tec. and discipline. Great environment at Beechwood to play a game. I look forward to seeing this one! Go Flyers! -
Franklin County/Western Hills Predictions
FC Flyer replied to FLYGUY's topic in KY Football (High School)
Not sure who is out but should be a great game to watch! It will be a great environment tonight for high school football! Not a lot of chatter from either side going into this game. Sounds like both sides are ready to play! Going to be a warm night and depth could be the defining factor in this game! -
4A Franklin County at 2A Shelby Valley predictions
FC Flyer replied to FLYGUY's topic in KY Football (High School)
Franklin Counties strength is their offensive and defensive lines. I look for FC to improve each week through out the season. FC is very young this year with a lot of first time starters on both sides of the ball! I look for FC to win by 2 touchdowns over Shelby Valley! -
Thanks! I will have to check it out! I'm ready for some high school football!

Does the Cat Paws do a break down on all of the state High school football districts?

I think both QB's are going to be strong for Franklin County. They both looked good last week in spring practice. It should be interesting who wins the job. I was also impressed with the Offensive line and the depth they have this year. There are a number of new players competing for positions. There will be a lot of new faces on the field this year.
