Don't know much about Coach Mucker but that job is toxic. Unless you really, really, really want to be a Head Coach I wouldn't go near it. Good luck and god bless to whoever gets it.
And I would argue as a large 5A school that good teams lower in class should not be removed from equation. Nor teams that are equal in class. If you wanna take out Ballard then fine, but we aren't talking Trinity or X here. How your unit performs against good schools should factor in.
Little can be taken from a box score. Who knows if the defense allowed the points, how many points the defensive generated itself, what were the game scripts, etc, etc. It seems Jo-Jo has some insight here (and a penchant for positive spin) - what's your analysis coach? Is he the man for the job?
Well obviously my talent evaluation skills probably shouldn't be called into question considering I've been watching the best DB in KY (playing at 70% mind you) playing against primarily running teams, and haven't had access to the "medicals" or the all-22 film. My bad. You have a dog in the fight - I don't. No need to get snippy. I too was thinking more offensively than defensively, but still...
No offense to this young man - and I hope he takes advantage of the offers given to him - but after watching about 3 games of his I'm thinking these offers are more for track than football.
Quite frankly, I enjoy Thursday games when the opponent for the week is a relatively down school (no need to mention names, you know which ones) so we can scout our next opponent live on Friday.
Has Jtown or CJ announced the hire yet? Do you have inside sources? Don't know much about Coach Stonebreaker except googling his record. Is that the best they could get? Waggener is filled I believe.
Marion County should be interesting. That job can be successful IMO.
