A couple takeaways and comments on this season: Pre-merge this season was bad. It just wasn't clicking. But I could see strong players and said when we get to the merge, it will get good - and I think it did. Idols - Anyone who goes home with an idol is dumb. If you know you are getting any votes at all, play the idol then go looking again. Don't tell anyone you have an idol until you are are going to play it - then leverage it. If you tell anyone - ANYONE - before you plan to use it, then you forced yourself to use it because you just put a target on yourself. Immunity Challenge Help - Probst made a big mistake letting Liz help Kenzie at the immunity challenge - or did he? I am not a conspiracy guy but that was so egregious, it makes me wonder if they were ok letting Liz help. If Maria wins that challenge, it is probably the least dramatic final tribal in Survivor history. No way anyone could get a vote except Maria. It was over if Maria won that challenge. Even if she lost the next one and had to make fire, no one would have beaten her in the fire challenge. So did Probst let Liz help Kenzie on purpose? He has stopped people from helping someone else in a challenge in the past. Verbal help is ok but not physical help. Why did he let it happen this time?

Not disagreeing but who would you have played there instead of Gobert? Who would Dallas have put in the pick and roll if Gobert was on the bench?

Agree. The current system is a complete mess. Just get me to the season, tell me who is playing for the teams I like and then I will root for them. Everything in between the seasons is rubbish.

Big shout out to the Beechwood Tigers on their first boys regional track championship! Also winning their event was Oliver Unger in the high jump. On the girls side, Beechwood girls took first in almost half the events but fell just short another regional title, finishing second. Top performers for Beechwood girls were Maryah Counts (3 individual first place), Caroline Nordman (3 individual seconds behind Counts in all 3), and Lily Parke (2 individual firsts). Good luck at state to both teams! Go Tigers!!

I heard a long time D1 sports connected official talking about this and he said it is another step toward the Power 5 conferences leaving the NCAA. The Power 5 conferences will be another type of professional sports. Everything else will go be scholarship sports with some NIL available if athletes can find it. I have heard other commentators say they expect the Power 5 to be separated from the NCAA within 5 years or less.

I agree that Charlie played the best game. But the person who played the best game usually does not win Survivor. Kenzie played a good game and I am ok with her winning. Liz is delusional. Now, two things that I found very irritating in this final episode. 1. I think it is outrageous that they let Liz do part of an immunity challenge for Kenzie. That should never be allowed - NEVER! I cannot believe they let that happen. Probst completely blew it letting that happen. 2. Kenzie won votes, and won the game IMO because of her story of working for nothing her whole life. That is why Maria voted for her and Q also. That should not be the reason why you vote for someone. What they are going to do with the money should not be the reason why you vote for someone. If that is how you are going to decide your vote, then they don't even need to play the game. Everyone can just line up on the beach and tell their background story and what they're going to do with the money and have the vote. How you played the game should far outweigh anything else in how you vote.

Like I said, Reds win 9-6. A baseball game is the most difficult sports contest to predict. It truly is anything can happen on a given night.

Holiday weekend. Weather warming up. School is out. And it's the Dodgers with Betts and Ohtani.

This is not the opponent to turn things around against. Which means look for a Reds series win.

As a Beechwood fan, I like that bracket. Winning the district championship was huge. Also, for clarification the games are at Thomas More Stadium, as it is stated on the bracket.

Make it painful for the players. Then the union complains to the league about the 3 games in 10 days scheduling. The NFL then negotiates a way to stop the 3 games in 10 days scheduling by adding the 18th regular season game. I believe there are 9 teams this year playing 3 games in 10 days and that happened rarely in previous seasons.

The videos all help Scheffler version and hurt the police officer version of the story.

Mo Egger on ESPN 1530 says he believes the NFL did this scheduling on purpose this year to push the players into agreeing to an 18th regular season game.
