I'm the first Russell fan to post. Congrats to Mason Co. you deserved that win. Russell is not playing good football at all in the last five games. Mason defense was awesome. I truely hope that Mason Co. makes a good run in the playoffs. I like the fans and love the coach. Russell might win the first Round but should fall to the mighty Royals in the second Round. I am a true Russell fan and I played for them for four years. I want them to win but it won't happen as long as coach keeps running the same four plays. It works for the most part but you have to mix it up a little. Also they are to many people making a big deal over the Ashland game. Big Russell fan but went to Raceland game because it was the better game. Raceland is a solid team period. Russell needs to be ready the people I talked to said the players have the Russell game circled in the weight room. For almost a year now.

I went to the game instead of going to the Russell one. Raceland is a good team with a lot of heart and deserved to win the game. I thank that Russell will be OK. People there season is not over, they lose one game and theres people saying there going to lose three or four games in the regular season and be a #2 seed in the district playoffs. If Russell would have won this game there would'nt have been 40 hits on this thread. People Ashland is a 5a school they are suppost to win this game. There a lot of people that loves it when Russell loses. It just don't happen that often, they are only a 3a school with a lot of pride and a couple of state rings not like Ashland with 9 or 10 championships. Russell is Russell if somebody beats them than there's a lot of talk.

Congrats to Tomcats I was wrong Ashland is better than Russell. Russell played with no heart when they got down and the start of the second half did not help at all. That was the turning point of the game. After that Ashland stomped a mud hole in Russell. Russell will bounce back and Ashland will build on the win.
