  1. Completely agree with #2, everyone can spin a sob story.
  2. I'd be willing to say he retired when he did, because he knew this was coming and would be a huge distraction for Mayfield Football going forward.
  3. Reports tonight from KSP saying the amount is right at $50,000. Indictment indicates thefts began when she was appointed interim President in 2021 and continued up until two days before her resignation. All according to WPSD news.
  4. As I understand it, when a player signs off to take the payment they give their NIL rights to the university for that year. Players may keep their NIL and turn down the payments if they feel they can generate more on their own. It was mentioned on the radio today that players may take half the payment and retain half of their NIL. I think it all levels out over the next 2 to 3 seasons to what ever the new normal will be.
  5. Looking at their revenue and expenses I'd guess the amount doesn't approach $100k or even close to that. The Chamber shows revenue of around $90,000 and expenses of around $120,000 as recent as 2022, with about $60,000 in total assets.
  6. Surely there can be some contract. If I hire Reed Sheppard to be in an advertising campaign for my Ford Dealership, I'm going to sign him to exclusively only endores my Dealership and brand. I'm not paying him $200K to do an Ad Campaign for me and him to also advertise for a competitor at the same time. Only a contract could ensure that doesn't happen.
  7. I can easily see looking at that photo how there could be confusion on Scheffler's part. However with Police, Fire and EMS present, anyone directing traffic should have been obeyed. I've seen numerous times when Fire Fighters are directing traffic around accident sites just as a Police Officer would. Scheffler should have realized with EMS and Fire present this was a different situation than he pulled up to the previous day and proceeded a little more cautiously and followed and direction give to him by those directing traffic. I don't know what direction the officer gave him or what he understood them to be. My biggest question with the officers behavior is how did he put himself in the position to take a ride on Scheffler's car? Hopefully the video and corresponding investigation will clear up a lot of questions.
  8. Decent season, not the best but definitely not the worst. Not sure Kenze deserved to win it based on Outplay, Outwit, Outlast mantra of the game...but it could have been worse if some others had won. It looked like Kenze got at least part of her votes based on sympathy and not game play.
  9. The 1099 thing is coming, it's definitely going to bite some kid in the backside.
  10. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/georgia-qb-jaden-rashada-sues-florida-coach-billy-napier-among-others-over-botched-13-85m-nil-deal/ Georgia quarterback Jaden Rashada has sued Florida coach Billy Napier, top Gators booster Hugh Hathcock and former football staffer Marcus Castro-Walker over a failed name, image and likeness deal that would have paid the quarterback $13.85 million, according to a lawsuit filed in federal court on Tuesday. In short Florida Coach and Booster promised a total of $13.85 million to get him to turn down $9.5 million from Miami. The suit claims that the coaches and boosters all misled him with no intention of upholding the deal. First, this is just the first of these types of suits that will come out. Second, the money being thrown around is much higher than I expected.
  11. My kids bolt to in-laws in the afternoon, wife usually takes a huge nap. Unless Santa comes through with a PS5 and EA College Football, I'll be parked in front of the TV watching football all afternoon. EA College Football > NFL > Christmas Story on TBS > NBA
  12. Pulling hard for Pacers and T-Wolves, but expecting Celts and Mavs to meet in the finals. Primarily because I'm on a reverse hot streak over the last few years when it comes to my rooting interest actually winning.
  13. This is kinda crazy. Looking at this plus injuries and there could be some better days ahead as starters return and the schedule eases up some.
