  1. I am not so sure that we should be discussing the severity of Coach Dick Damrons illness. Let's just leave it at the entire family needs our thoughts and prayers. They are a very private family lets keep it that way. Thanks Best of Luck to all the signees, they are the pioneers of the program and will be able to leave their permanent mark.
  2. I would like to see the film and count exactly how many lineman Ashland had down field on the pass when they had the bad snap on the punt, I know I saw at least 3 lineman 15 yards down field. Poor job by the officals of getting caught up in the game and not having good mechanics.

Will Goldsmith get another year? Billy is a great guy, and Stick is correct he has done allot for that program he did a good job under the leadership of one of the greatest bulldogs ever Eddie Wayne Michael, however 9-23 record the past three years?
  4. Any details from someone who was at this game? Goldsmith slides to 8-20 in the new era.
  5. BC RULES, The Wilson kids has done a good job @ QB, he is a sophmore that is going to be a great one!! You need to get over the past and realize that Zach is the better QB and has been since Middle school, V.J. made the right call. Come to the games, support all kids in the program, enjoy the journey and be glad that your son is playing the greatest game on earth!
  6. Russell very deservingly won the state championship, they have a great program with a great bunch of people involved. The rings are really nice, and so what if the Boyd County people enjoy being the 1 on the 14-1 that will always be on the side of the ring.................. Everyone from top to bottom will back Coach Evans, he stands for what is right and is one of the best teacher/coaches that I have ever meet. Coaching high school football is a roller coaster ride of good years and bad, Coach Evans will work hard with his players and staff to get the most out of both.
  7. What has happened to LC the past 5 years. They have been terrible. I can remember when LC was good year in and year out. Then the old asst. and head coach from East Carter (not McPeek) became an LC assistant and LC's old coach who had been successful in the past arrived. I assumed that the team would show no ill effects, but as I stated before they have been flat terrible since then. Do the kids not like the coaches or are the coaches afraid of making someone mad and don't practice them as hard as in the past? I do know that in the past one coach was really bad for becoming buddies with certain players and showing favortism (is this the problem)? I'm not trying to make anyone mad, I PROMISE!!! Just wanting in on some facts from Louisa! I know that football used to be everything in Louisa and I don't see how that could change. Every kid has had an uncle, cousin, brother, etc.. that has been a bulldog and has war stories to share. Usually this passion passes on to each generation but I guess all good things do come to an end!!! Good luck to each team and may the best team win!!!!! The coach that you are refering to is Joey Cecil, I know one thing for sure none of the problems that Lawrence has had is this man's fault. Joey is a class act that does things the right way. He is a tremendous football coach that all the players truly love. Not to mention he was the defensive coordinator during McPeek's 1st year a 11-1 season. He is the type of guy that you would want your son to play for. So that dawg won't hunt. Goldsmith on the other hand........lets just say he is not the coach that he was in the late 80's, I am not so sure that is it or is it the schedule that they are playing now compared to then. Back then they played both Carter County schools, paintsville, raceland, lewis county. Not exactly the toughest schedule in the world. He seems like a good guy, just not very consistent from week to week.
  8. Their d-coordinator did a good job last year. What is his name?
  9. Coach Brugh is a Eastern Kentucky Legend, Kudos to you guys for honoring him in.
  10. Good solid teams that will make some noise in the post season.
  11. I would rather stay home and listen to your "fair-weathered" radio announcers.
  12. Obviously you don't, maybe all the re-modeling money went to Raceland in that check along with the butt-whipping that they gave you.
