  1. Congrats and good luck in being drafted #1. It would be our 3rd #1 in 4 years.
  2. Kentucky still has a long way to go before we catch up to other states. Just not a lot of division 1 players in our state. Add to the list when someone commits: Omar Prewitt (Mongomery County) - William & Mary Jack whitman (Lexington Catholic) - William & Mary David Levitch (North Oldham) - UofL Preferred Walk-On Derek Willis (Bullitt East) - UofK Rusty Troutman (Bullitt East) - Bellarmine Louis Maniacci (Cooper) - Lincoln Memorial Austin Hunt (Boyd County) - Lincoln Memorial Logan O'Bryan (Daviess County) - Kentuck Wesleyan Antonio Campbell (Covington Holy Cross) - Ohio Demarcus Page (Trinity) - Campbellsville Quin Richardson (Scott County) - Campbellsville Mason Monroe (Pendleton County) - Transylvania Zach Caggins (Ballard) - Transylvania Stephen Goble (Wesley Christian) - Jefferson Davis CC Ryne Tinsley (Grayson County) - Brescia Trey Tinsley (Grayson County) - Brescia Kristian Morgan (Gallatin County) - Asbury Kody Johnson (Pulaski County) - Campbellsville Derek Jeffries (Henry County) - Transylvania Nate McGovney(Campbell County) - Thomas Moore Tyler Smith (Bryan Station)-Asbury Miles Rice (Trinity) - Campbellsville Darryl Hicks (Trinity) - Boston College Alex Jones (St. Xavier) - Transylvania Sam Gruber (Oldham County) - Centre College Nick Jackson (Scott) - Union College Dominique Hawkins (Madison Central) -UK Emmanuel Owootoah (Cordia) - Fresno State Ethan Rowe (Pikeville) - Transylvania Drew Mays (Ryle) - Transylvania Devonte Grundy (Bardstown)- Vincennes University Michael Beuter (Newport Central Catholic) - Unión College Nick Siebert (Newport Central Catholic) - Cincinnati Christian Drew Shelton (Cooper) - Cincinnati Christian Christian McClendon (Holy Cross) - Mount St Joes Josh Barnard (Rowan County) - University of Pikeville
  3. If Julian Tackett is so big on EQUITY among all sports, then why doesn't he charge fans the same admission price for ALL state championship games in ALL sports? Same trophies, no programs, etc. for all sports should = same price admission for all. How much does KHSAA charge for admisision for their softball, baseball, football, golf, tennis, fishing, soccer, track, etc. state championships?
  4. Is the Sweet 16 still "THE GREATEST SHOW IN HOOPS"? Over the past two years I have noticed a huge change in the Sweet 16 for the worst. Here is what I have observed the last couple of years. 1. NO PROGRAMS this year, really small programs last year. This is terrible and the KHSAA just doesn't want to do one for all the different championship because they lose money for the other events. Therefore, don't do them for anyone then. EQUITY BABY! is what Julian Tackett is screaming. 2. CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY. The championship trophy is now really small compared the 5 foot trophy the girls and boys used to get. This is a shame because that trophy is the most coveted trophy amongst all sports in Kentucky. 3. MVP TROPHY. The MVP trophy for Hawkins this year was a joke. It was a small 8" x 10" plaque with a gold sticker on it saying MVP of Sweet 16. Cheap and embarrassing to even give it to him this year. 4. NO CONFETTII. No confettii fell after the championship game. Too much to pay the immigrants that clean Rupp to pick it up I guess. 5. NO LASER LIGHTS. No lazer lights on the floor that spun around saying KHSAA SWEET 16 during pregame ceremonies. 6. NO PICTURES ON TICKETS. One thing that was always neat about the state tourney tickets was the fact that they had pictures form the previous years tournament on them. Now they just have KHSAA logo on them. 7. SWEET 16 GEAR NOT MUCH. Most the items for sale at the booth had only KHSAA CHAMPIONSHIPS on them instead of the 2013 KHSAA SWEET 16 logo on them. This is so they can sale the same gear at all the championship sports this year and don't have to worry about having left overs that go unsold. 8. NO PLAYER LANYARD PASSES. You usually get to see the participants wearing their participant lanyard passes around proudly during each session letting everyone know they made it to the state tournament. The KHSAA did away with them to save printing money. It was always I nice suvounir for each participant. 9. COMMENT OF THE WEEK: Julian Tackett says "most people would just throw the programs in the trash and only the old people care about them." Unbelievable comment. The KHSAA has really started to forget this past week is the most special week in the entire year for this state. They are showing everyone that all they do is care about maximizing profits and forget about making this THE GREATEST SHOW IN HOOPS. Does anyone else notice this recent decline in our best sporting event of the year?
  5. I still say he missed out on Anthony Hickey. He would be solid here for four years.
  6. Thanks gametime. We need him back soon so we can start to gel as a team before conference play.
  7. Is Harrow transferring? Him not even being around the program the last few weeks has me concerned. Some say he is transferring at semester break.
  8. Why doesn't Calipari play some zone when Davis picks up a quick foul so he can stay on the floor longer? I guarantee they would not of given up 47 in a half playing zone in spots.
  9. Just remember last years Final Four team went 10-6 in SEC play. I'm glad they just keep taking care of their business both at home and on road.
  10. Davis & MKG are lottery locks of course. Jones goes as long as he is first rounder. Lamb & Teague come back for another year.
  11. Vegas opened at 12.5 UK favorite. UK up 13 with 1:00 to go. They are right on.
  12. Davis controlling the paint again!
  13. And Davis either blocking or changing every shot in the paint.
