  1. The backup has a nice arm and a nice ball. He was in for, what, one snap and then it was back to #8?
  2. Nelson had a 7-0 lead, too, but the Cards could not stop LaRod King. And I'm still surprised Boone got 199. He had 111 at halftime. Also, gotta love the boo-birds in the stands. I don't see how Coach Bruner puts up with it.
  3. I think Coach Lawson is doing great things in Cecilia, but the Green Wave will get their first win this week. Meade 28, Central 21
  4. I was talking about Jarboe. I didn't know they moved him to defense.
  5. It may not be a fair statement, but you agreed with me. And besides, I was just stating the obvious.
  6. Trust me, Tru B, I was there for that game against Danville. But like I said, I was just playing devil's advocate. I haven't seen Thompson or Jarboe play, and don't really know all that much about either except they battled for the honor of backing up Kaelin all those years.
  7. What does tradition have to do with this or any game? The Tigers are 1-2, a spot they aren't very comfortable with. This isn't the same Bardstown team that it was under Coach Downs. John Hardin rolls, 56-14.
  8. Quan Weaver is a beast. That is all. Just playing devil's advocate here, but it sounds like you're saying he didn't want to win that game against Danville in the playoffs last year... Has the QB played in a big game before? I know several of the skill players have, but I'm pretty certain he's about the only one who hasn't.
  9. He's always done that. Was on the sideline for a County game either last year or the year before last and he had County's kicker do that. The ball landed two feet from Thacker and he looks at me and says "How bout that? These kids can listen after all."
  10. All I'm saying is look at who HC has played so far, and then look at who's left: Caverna, Beth Haven, DeSales, Bethlehem, KCD, Butler and Doss, who are a combined 4-17 so far. KCD has the most wins (2-1) of the bunch, but they've struggled against Eminence and Beth Haven. I really don't see anyone challenging HC as it plays out right now, but I could be proven wrong.
  11. No. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Holy Cross wins its next seven games and advances to at least the third round of the playoffs. No need to panic just yet. HC played some pretty good teams in South Oldham, which just lost its first game tonight, and Pikeville, which is now 3-0.
  12. Beger and Pyles each threw for over 100 yards and Sorilla picked off another pass for the Bruins.
  13. Final Tanner threw for 2 TD and 2 INT. Tanner was 20-of-33 for 289 yards and completed passes to eight different receivers. Tanner is the first quarterback from this area (maybe one of the first in the state) to go over 1,000 yards.
  14. Vass threw for over 100 yards, Davis had 100 yards rushing and Mayfield had over 100 yards receiving for the Hawks.
  15. The Bruins are knocked from the rank of the unbeatens.
  16. Glad to see High continuing to play well. Wish I could be on the sidelines for next week's game against County!
  17. Final. Tanner had a state-record 71 pass attempts. E'town was up, 28-6, but blew the lead.
  18. I said if NH's wideouts don't improve in the weeks leading up to that game. Just remember that part...:fight:
  19. Who wins and by how much? My pick: E'town 49, CH 14.
  20. I know. But this is much earlier in the year, just like last year. JH beat MC, 52-21 in the regular season matchup, and I think they'll win this year's regular season matchup with ease. The playoffs are a completely different animal.
