  4. First win over ’Cats since 2000 Greenup prevails; Thomas misses three at the buzzer as Ashland drops seventh straight By AARON SNYDER - The Independent LLOYD — In only his second win as Greenup County’s head coach, Jason Smith got a big one in front of the home fans on Friday night. The Musketeers held off Ashland to win 59-56, their first win over the Tomcats since 2000. It was Ashland’s seventh straight loss. The rest of the story can be read at...Musketeers defeat Tomcats!

  6. The way it was in the past was a joke! 2006 and 2007 have shown that other schools are successful given the opportunity within one's own district. If your district champ is better than our district champ, then great -- yours becomes regional champ. There is no need to prove a district's muster by having 4 teams in one district whoop on 4 teams from another district. Let each district have a playoff champ and then move on to the regionals for bragging rights.
  7. Jim Henson would make a horrible head coach, but this guy knows a thing or two about leaping -- plus he already has the team's colors...

  10. Greenup County should run the Franklin system. There seems to be something missing here. Nobody changes an offensive system that is working!!!!! Maybe Greenup County couldn't collect enough money to send the coaching staff back to the Franklin seminar and keep them in the system??? Maybe that is the :flame:.
  11. 2005 (5 or 6 games) Jet Sweep/Power 2005-2006 Power/Trap/Option 2007 Franklin System
  12. I heard today that Greenup County will no longer be running the Tony Franklin system. Instead, the Musketeers will revert back to the Power/Option game used in 2005 and 2006 and possibly the triple option with Eric Craft at QB. Why would Greenup County leave a system that gave them a District Championship and an average of 36 points per game over their final 6 games?
  13. He is still on the team. He played Saturday night against West Carter. He practiced yesterday, too.
  14. ...let them not forget. :jump: Greenup County by 1 on a last second jumper by Eric Craft...
  15. That's great! What happened to their game against Harrison County in the district championship? Did the line play differ for Franklin County from the previous meeting with Harrison County?
  16. What happened to their game against Harrison County in the district championship?
  17. Dean of Students = still an administrator (due to pay scale) = cannot be a coach at Greenup County Schools
