  1. Dupont Manual better not take part in this boycott!! This is stupid, if you want to be the best you have to play the best. I have no pull or power other than I am an alumn, but I would highly encourage Manual not to take part in this. We all have lost good players to Trinity and St. X before but so what, there are a whole lot of great atheletes out there that can't afford those schools or just don't want to attend them. Are you telling me Male is doing this?!! I thought the Bulldogs had a pretty good pool of people to draw from every year too, and a record to match the private schools, this is weird, you would think they would have the heart not take their ball and go home just because they lost two championships in a row. I question the wisdom of this and I am proud that my Alma mater is so far not following the leash on this one.
  2. Who is this Manuel guy and why would you pay him $2000 dollars to take your daughter?? Just kidding, but the name is Manual, like a training guide. But she is right I went to Manual with a girl from New Albany and a guy from E-town who's parents loved Manual's programs so much they sent them there and paid tuition. Neither played sports but she went on from YPAS to Broadway Productions and he is working on his Med school finals right now.
  3. I was going to say Swamp rat but now I will say Oldbird
  4. Last time I checked Meade County was not in Lexington.
  5. The only number that Counts 21-1 You can't count Lex Cath 3A and also for the record they lost this year to a Louisville team. So what if you beat the worst teams. Last year Ballard and eastern stunk up the east end now they are better. If Eastern Manual or Ballard this year played your bottom three they would wipe the floor with them, and I think they could beat your top three as well. Louisville is bigger and does have more teams, we have more teams that would beat Lexington teams and we have teams that would lose to Lexington teams. But the rankings are not to show moral victories by Lexington over bad Louisville teams, they are to show the teams that are most likely to win the State title. And since Lexington teams never seem able to do that recently I would say that Louisville is dominate. Anything else you want to say is pointless, and I am done beating this dead horse.
  6. You can't judge the playoffs by who you played in round one. The big three are Louisville schools. Your numbers are pointless because you can't take away Male, Trinity and St.X any more that we could take away Tates Creek, Byrant Station, or Henry Clay. Remember last year and your Smash Mouth Football that ended with a Louisville team winning 50-0. Yeah you all really dominated that game. Who cares if you beat the worst teams in Louisville, when it really counts Lexington is dominated in the East region by a Louisville school, and if they should make it past Trinity, then they always get beat by another Louisville school.
  7. fb losing 21-1 in the title race is not dominating infact it is pathetic
  8. How is it you can say my point is not valid and then agree that the premise is flawed, my point was that Lexington teams can't be ranked higher than Louisville teams until they beat them. And You yourself just stated the same thing. Lexington Schools have not Beaten a Louisville School for the title since 1981. And that was the only time. The original post asked why aren't Lexington teams ranked higher than Louisville teams!. We agree that Lexington teams have not beaten Louisville teams for the title Right, that must mean that Louisville teams have been beating Lexington teams for the title, since Louisville teams are the ones winning the most titles. Ergo the Louisville teams are dominate over Lexington teams until Lexington beats Louisville out for the title. The Big three are Louisville teams, I am not the one being hypothetical! This whole take away the big three thing is stupid, because as I said in my first post they are a part of Louisville Football and a part of the regular season up here as well as the playoffs. And so what if Lexinton did beat Fairdale, FernCreek or Seneca, how hasn't. I never said that every Louisville team is going to beat every Lexington team. I said the better Louisville teams are Historically better than the good Lexington teams. That whole 21-1 title record should speak to that. As far as the last few years Lexington should have more wins, since until this year most of the better public schools were in the west and the weaker teams were in the east, I mean Central and Fairdale got moved to 3A for cripes sakes. This is not the case this year, Seneca has moved back to the west, Eastern and Ballard are much improved though Fern Creek still stinks. Your guys didn't play Male, PRP, or even Butler a couple of years ago. Your point My point: The original premise of this thread is wrong because Louisville teams have been dominate over Lexington teams. Until Lexington starts beating the big three or whoever (from Louisville) is in the Final game Lexington will always be ranked below the Top Louisville schools. These aren't that different OLD RED I hope you see that.
  9. North Hardin W 43-0 Cincinnati Elder W 44-20 J-town W 55-0 Oldham Co. W52-14 Ballard W26-7 St.Xavier W16-0 South Oldham W45-0 Shelby Co. W56-7 Fern Creek Eastern
  10. Hopkinsville w 42-20 Highlands w 35-24 Seneca w 48-21 Lexington Catholic w 35-21 Atherton w 62-0 Owensboro w 56-21 Southern w 48-8 Central w 46-7 bye St.X Dupont Manual
  11. Actually you are right for once! You won't hear about it much after your district is eliminated by Trinity. St. X is beatable, I think Male is too, it remains to be seen if Trinity is or not, the only thing pretty clear is that it won't be a Lexington team doing the honors on any of these teams. Eastern, Ballard, Manual, maybe, Dunbar, Tates Creek, Scott, Lafayette, no.
  12. Correct me if I am wrong, and I am sure you will. But I believe 1980 to 1985 some Lexington teams were on either either side of the bracket. I was trying to find some proof to back this up, but to be honest I could not. But it still doesn't matter! All I was saying was that Louisville has more teams and more talented teams than Lexington historically. That stat should show you that. The whole reason Louisville is split is to try to make the talent alittle more even. If Lexington had all the talent then and more teams they should teams on either side of the bracket. So even if Lexington has never been on either side(which I believe they have) it just goes to prove my point, Lexington doesn't have the sheer number of horses (pardon the pun) to compete year in and year out. Louisville has always had more teams and talent, even if Lex Cath does build a super Lexington 4A team we already have three teams like that and Manual is starting to show signs of building prominence. I think Lexington has some good teams, and some of them are good year in and out, but they aren't historically as good as the better Louisville teams, and there aren't as many teams with the potential to rival the big three as there are in Louisville. Once again because it is not sinking in my point is : Louisville Football has been Dominate over Lexington Football ergo Louisville Teams are ranked higher!!! Until Lexington teams beat them that is how it is. My stats are there to help guide you to the same conclusion. If you reach a different one than please feel free to support your premise with all those.... I mean that one State 4A title that Lexington has.
  13. Yes the very best team in Lexington should be able to hang with Seneca, Atherton, and a whole lot of Louisville teams. Just not the good ones.
  14. LEXDOG33 POSTED Conner is not a Louisville team genius! It is NKY:lol: Besides a scrimmage is not a Playoff game. Let Dumbar beat Trinity and Ballard or Eastern this year. And you can talk big guy!
  15. First you are putting words in my mouth. I never said Lexington wasn't any good, I said they have not dominated 4A football the way Louisville has. Also I am only talking 4A, football so I can't understand your wanting to bring Highlands and NKY into this unless you are tring to bring the NKY people into this discussion hoping they will back you up. NKY 3A is dominate over Louisville 3A in as much as Louisville is dominate over Lexington in 4A. If Logic is not my strong suit than facts must not be yours. Lexington has had the opportunity since 1975 to have teams meet! Only recently this has not been the case. Besides reread my second post, I understand that Lexington schools are currently from the same district and I explain why I still think this statistic is valid. Look don't take this personally, but I don't think my logic is the one that is flawed. To be very blunt my point is : Louisville Football has been Dominate over Lexington Football ergo Louisville Teams are ranked higher until Lexington teams beat them. My stats are there to help guide you to the same conclusion. If you reach a different one than please feel free to support your premise with all those.... I mean that one State 4A title that Lexington has.
  16. You are right they are in the same region so maybe that is unfair example to point out that only Louisville schools have won both regions in the same year, and for that mattter the past two years. But it does still show a level of dominance by the Louisville schools that the East end schools won the East region and the West end schools won the West region. The last two State 4A titile games were not against two state power as much as they were two Louisville city powers that had already beaten the rest of the state. That is why Louisville is ranked higher than Lexington in the 4A rankings. As far as Lexington Catholic they are 3A not 4A, but Male did beat Lex Cath this year. The Louisville and Lexington schools are not even, again read my previous post on number of state titles. Even if you do take Trinity and St. X out (which you can't do since they are LOUISVILLE SCHOOLS and a part of the landscape here in Louisville during our regular seasons as well as the playoffs). Louisville Public Schools lead 4-1 in titles over Lexington schools. Lexington leads 9 to 8 in trips to the final game which seems pretty even until you realize that had St.X or Trinity not been in the State Championship there would probably have been a Louisville Public school or possible another Lexington School in their place so that number is really not a realible number in the "Take out Trinity & St.X" senerio. But the whole "take out Trinity and St.X" senerio is moot anyway because then Male would be the predominate team and then you would not want to count them because they wear purple, and then all of Lexington would be tied with Butler for state titles and then after you have magically erased the three best teams in Louisville( teams the rest of the Louisville teams compete with year in and year out), then yes Lexington and Louisville start to look pretty even, except that no one really knows because a Lexington School has not played Manual, or this years Eastern or Ballard teams yet this year.
  17. I think a good way to tell would be to see which teams in 4A have won the State title. Let's see.... since 4A started 27 years ago in 1975 Louisville Teams have won 21 titles, Lexington Teams 1 title 1981 Henry Clay beat Louisville Desales. Now of course you will say that is not fair because so many of those wins were to catholic schools and you don't want to count catholic schools, well Louisville Public Schools have won 4 of those 21 titles 3 to Male 1 to Butler. So that is still 4 to 1 Louisville Public Schools to Lexington public Schools. Times that a Lexington schools have been in the big game since 1975-9 Times the Louisville schools have been in the big game since 1975-29 Times A Louisville Public School has been in the big game since 1975-8 Times Louisville schools have matched up against Louisville schools in the Finals-4 Trinity Manual 88, St.X Trinity 97, Male Trinity 00, Trinity Male 01 Times Lexington schools have met in the finals- Never Lexington has never really consistantly dominated or even consistantly competed with the better Louisville teams in 4A why should they be ranked above the Louisville teams that have. If you want a high ranking play and beat some good Louisville teams in your regular season schedule.
  18. Manual Stadium of course has my vote!! Also if there is a better place to film from in Louisville I have never found it, and I have been around!!!
