This will be a big game for a couple of reasons: 1. Both squads are looking to end losing skids this week and right their ships as they enter the home stretch to the playoffs. 2. This will be the last time these two teams will face off for a while. Hancock County will enter a new conference next fall and will drop McLean County off of their schedule for the first time in a number of years. McLean and Hancock have been rivals for quite sometime and it will be sad to see this end. Hancock County will come in with some confidence after last year's 32-6 trouncing of McLean County. The game will be played at McLean. Any predictions?

Tilghman is having a rough season so far. You have to take into account that they have faced tough competition this year. Probably a big surprise for Tilghman this season was the lost to Union County. McLean County comes into this game after a tough loss to Grayson County. Last year, McLean lost this game and dropped the next four games. Will that happen this year? McLean goes into this game with the possibility of controlling its own destiny. A win will set up a district championship game versus Union County in two weeks. If they lose, there will be a fight for first through third places in the district. Tilghman needs the win to stay in the hunt for a second place spot in the district. Tilghman is facing the possibility of being 0-2 in the district depending on the ruling of the KHSAA. If that happens, the McLean game will be a must win for them in order to have a shot at hosting a home playoff game. With all this on the line, who wins? The game will be at Paducah on Friday. Last year, Tilghman defeated McLean 50-0.

I forgot to mention that Grayson won last year's game at Grayson 34-16, which led to a five game skid by McLean.

McLean comes into the game off of a bye week and a win versus district rival Webster County, 12-0. Grayson County is coming off back to back wins versus Breckinridge County (40-8) and district foe Barren County (18-0). Head Coach Ed Smart returns to his old stomping grounds at McLean County with a former player as one of his assistants. If McLean wins, it marches on undefeated to play a big district opponent in Paducah Tilghman. If Grayson wins, Grayson can continue the momentum built by wins over Breck and Barren into their district games. There is the danger that either or both teams could be caught looking down the road. Grayson, if I didn't mention it, will be traveling to McLean for this game. Who picks up the win in the high school version of a "Cat fight" (Cougar v. Cougar)?

McLean County is coming off a big win versus district opponent Muhlenberg South, 52-28. McLean is 3-0 and 1-0 in 3A, district 1. Webster is coming off a tough loss to district rival Paducah Tilghman, 55-6. Webster is 1-1 and 0-1 in 3A, district 1. Webster will be hungry to avenge the last two years where McLean County has beaten them in the fourth quarter. The game will be at McLean County. If McLean wins, they control their destiny in the district. If Webster wins, there could be a fight for second through fourth in the district. Any Predictions?

McLean County and Muhlenberg South come into the game 2-0. South has had impressive wins versus Muhlenberg North and Logan County. McLean County was dominate against Todd County and had a hard fought game against Murray. This is the first district game for both teams and it will be played at Muhlenberg South. For the last two years, McLean County has beaten Muhlenberg South. Last year, the score was 40-21 at McLean County. This could be a very tough game between district opponents on Friday night. Winner has a shot at number 2 seed in the district. Loser has to find someone else to beat or not make the playoffs. Any Predictions?

Murray and McLean County played for the first time in quite a long time last year. McLean held on at Murray with a 19-13 win. Murray played a tough game against Calloway County and came up just short. McLean had a solid second half against Todd County and won. Murray will be making the long trip to McLean. Any predictions?

Todd County has a large group of seniors playing this year. McLean County lost only five starters from last years 5-6 squad that lost in overtime in the first round of the playoffs. The game will be played at Todd County. McLean County won last years contest 34-12. Any predictions?

The way Ram has described the bill is the interpretation that I have as well. You can switch to any school you want during the summer, but on the first day of school, you are stuck with that school. During the school year, if you transfer schools for reasons other than change of address due to parent move because of job or divorce, the student would be ineligible to play sports at the new school until the next school year.
