I think Mike Jackson will have Ballard ready for this game. It will be close, but I give the edge to Ballard over Henderson.

Oldham wins and moves on. Oldham will be too much for Waggener.

McLean finally found some offense. They rushed for 205 yards versus Breckinridge in the final regular season game. On a cold blustery night, the Cougars took advantage of turnovers created by the defense to give them good field position. Breckinridge played well on both sides of the ball, but could not get their offense moving like they did the week before at Edmonson County. McLean kept the ball on the ground most of the game, only throwing seven passes. Breckinridge finishes their season. They have become more consistent on offense and defense thanks to the efforts of the coaching staff and their dedicated players. They could begin to turn things around next year. McLean will now get ready for a first round playoff matchup with District 2-3A opponent Edmonson County, who lost to Allen County-Scottsville Friday night. McLean, the District 1-3A runner-ups, will host the game Friday night at 7 p.m. at Paulsen Stadium.

Congrats to Oldham County and Matt. I know this means a lot to this community especially after the last several years of turmoil. I am hoping that Oldham will make a big run in the playoffs. Matt is a good coach and seems to have Oldham headed back in the right direction. Great Job!!!!!!!

Option number two under region 1 will happen. Tilghman has forfeited the game versus Webster. Due to head to head for tie breakers, Webster makes the playoffs and McLean is district runner-up to Union County. Muhlenberg South is third in District 2 3A.

McLean rolls into Butler County on THURSDAY NIGHT after losing their last district game versus champions Union County. McLean has suffered from a lack of offense and will try to get back on track this week. This will be a big rivalry game as Butler and McLean have played each other from Middle School through High School. The kids are familiar with one another. Butler will bring a diverse attack and a good defense that has shut down both Muhlenberg North and Webster County in the last couple of weeks. Will McLean finally right the ship this week? Or will they have to wait until next week? Will Butler County make a statement going into the playoffs? Any predictions?

I think Matt Brown and Oldham County find a way to win this one and win their district. OC - 35 AC - 28

Weather for Friday is looking to be rainy and cold. It will be interesting to see if weather plays a part in the game.

If we get a good soaking on Friday, I think you would have to favor McLean. Union County tries to use its speed to get outside of teams. They will try to run it up the middle, but only as a change up. Their prefered running area is outside the tackles and throwing short, medium, and long range passes. If we get light rain, I think it is a toss up. Whoever can handle the ball the best will win.

This game is for all the marbles in the district. Union County is 3-0 in the district and coming off a loss to Crittenden County. McLean County is 2-1 in the district coming off a loss to Hancock County. If Union County wins, they win district and McLean drops to second or third. If McLean wins, they win district and Union drops to second. Union County comes in with speed and some size. McLean will have size also. The last meeting between these two was in the playoffs last year that ended in double over time victory for Union County. If McLean can put everything together, they could win district for the first time in over thirteen years. The game will be played at McLean County. Any predictions?

They joined a conference called the Rough River conference. The conference was set up for non-district games and get players noticed in the state. Because of the number of teams in the conference, they will not be playing anyone other than district opponents. Their non-district opponents will be set.
