McLean finally found some offense. They rushed for 205 yards versus Breckinridge in the final regular season game. On a cold blustery night, the Cougars took advantage of turnovers created by the defense to give them good field position. Breckinridge played well on both sides of the ball, but could not get their offense moving like they did the week before at Edmonson County. McLean kept the ball on the ground most of the game, only throwing seven passes.

 

Breckinridge finishes their season. They have become more consistent on offense and defense thanks to the efforts of the coaching staff and their dedicated players. They could begin to turn things around next year.

 

McLean will now get ready for a first round playoff matchup with District 2-3A opponent Edmonson County, who lost to Allen County-Scottsville Friday night. McLean, the District 1-3A runner-ups, will host the game Friday night at 7 p.m. at Paulsen Stadium.
