  1. Thats not true. Just because they don't offer a kid they think is worthy of a scholarship doesn't mean they don't recruit Kentucky hard.
  2. Hope recruited Kentucky kids just as hard. The kids he recruited ended up signing to WKU, out of state or at D-1 schools. Kentucky has been producing some quality athletes lately more then ever, but it still isn't as many as it would be in one county in Florida. I know it makes me mad, but it's the truth. You can't fault the program for recruiting a Kentucky kid and the Kentucky kid decide to go elsewhere. What do you expect them to do? Give a scholarship to someone that isn't deserving? We also got to remember that they are limited on scholarships. They can only sign around 11-15 guys a signing period. If they sign more then that then some of those kids are on partial scholarships. One example would be the Holland kid from Perry County Central. He committed to EKU and Wake Forrest came in late and offered him a scholarship and he took it. He is a Kentucky kid they recruited hard and committed....HE decided that he wanted to go elsewhere. It's fortunate that he transferred to EKU after a season or two at Wake, but you understand the point.
  3. I agree....I have seen kids and community not buy in a coach and the program suffered because of it. That coach ended up leaving and going to another school where the community, parents and kids bought in..... the coach ended up successful at that school because they believed in the system and him.
  4. I heard Bird has the inside track there now and Roy Kidd is in his corner. But Landholm still has a outside shot. I would still rather see Landholm get it.
  5. He needs to be greatly humbled! His attitude reminds me of Ryan Leaf except he is somewhat successful.
  6. I'm with you on that. That made me a instant hater of Eli.
  7. Revive the program? They haven't had a losing season in 30 years. This past season they went 9-3 the best season they had since 97.
  8. Coach Clark is a good coach but he doesn't have enough experience. I have heard that they are going to hire Don Landholm, which is a great hire if this is true. Coach Landholm is currently the defensive coordinator for the Colonels. He has it all, dedication, loyalty, football smarts, respect from the kids, I could go on. I wish him the best on whatever comes of this.
  9. I may have over looked it on the thread but what would he be teaching or will he even be doing that?
  10. I thought of that to. I would love to see it happen.
  11. Who is Eddie Montgomery? Rick Dees? Are these guys former college football coaches that live in Boyle?
  12. I doubt it......the AFCA is over today. He should be on his way back from there.
  13. Do you have a link....I was trying to find out about this myself. I talked to a couple of my buddies that coach college ball and they told me that there was a deal in the works with Hope going to Purdue as a Assistant Head Coach during the AFCA convention.
  14. Who will be the head man first and then we can talk about if they will improve or not.
  15. I also agree that this is very correct.....I wish him the best.
  16. I would love to see Rex Ryan get it unless he gets the Ravens Head job. He has been in the running for head jobs for a while.
  17. What is his coaching background? Where is he from? What makes him qualified for this position?
  18. I got to know Jason a little a couple years ago and he seemed to be a really quality guy. It shocks me that he got suspended for this game.
